Yes mate, it was Australia day, i just happened to be going on my morning walk and wondered why they knocked over the soccer posts when there was a perfectly good footy ground right next door ( Maybe us ratepayers were angry about yobbos on our public parks) ha ha....

Good news for Albanvale this week with the big ruckman who broke his leg last year Gabe Clingen returning to the club after going back to EDFL before Xmas.

Great news seeing the club had also recruited another big bloke to replace him .

Not much talk on here, how about some predictions and news on upcoming practice matchs

Looks like im staying down at west, (sorry weapons :thumbsu:) I just had a phone call from Cuzza, he said that Scolda n himself r now going to play at west again this year. Lika n Evo seem to b happy at parkside so i doubt i can convince them. We should all b down training monday night.

west, roosters etc. can anyone tell me how talks went with webby?

yes deer park have quality but name 3 decent kids under 24 who play there they don't have the youth stocks like yarra and we saw from north last year, you need that to go up 2 divvy 1 don't you??

Any word on jason king? Where will he be playing this yr.. Any clubs offered anything better than what west have to give?

you know nothing......out of the 12 recruits 5 of them played in the calder cannons granny team last year and another from calder who is on coburgs vfl list who will be playing for dp if not selected for coburg........put that in your pipe and smoke it......;)

and deer park will have 2 u/18 sides this year......so youth isnt going to be a problem.....

I have a cricket team to worry about i have been training with a few clubs.Looking at a few Div 1 Clubs or head to country. Money was good at west but respect is a big thing and i don't think i have it at west after trying to teach the young fellasthe game for the last few years i don't think i should be on the outer ahh well thats life Cricket is priority atm.Go Ashfield. It would be good to see Cuzza n Scolder back playing what west needs hopefully the young fellas get inspired

That is good news for west ,didn't know they were fielding a super rules team

Any of the above under 35????

It seems these young guys that have been "bought" over will be a good inclusion, but how many will stay when there is no money.. things DP have to remember if they speng $80K Plus to get themselves out of Divvy 2, imagine what they are going to have to pay in Divvy 1. And the kid from Coburg well thats an interesting one as all VFL club would prefer their kids go to a A Grade club, as I know over the years we have been approached to take on kids that were in B grade clubs, so is he that good and maybe he will be playing with you a bit??

I know they are offering money when kids straight out of Under 18's for an A Grade club have been offer $250 plus a game to play at DP.. come on lets get real these kids played in a under 18 B's, and no one in their right mind would pay these kids this... so to have money is great but spend it where it needs to be spent to increase the skills of players coming through.

If Condos plays inside forward fifty, he will kick 170 goals. If he spends most of his time in the midfield, he'll settle for 90 goals.

settle down pal think your spending to much time on your xbox 360

90-110 if he plays at FF his engine isnt big enough to play on ball

cant see him kicking bags of 10 against the likes Parks,Cobras

Sorry mate got to disagree , i dont know how good you think Parkside and Albanvale are but Condos was kicking bags of 10 in the Bendigo League which craps on WRFL division 2 ... by a long long long way ....

If he can stay fit and not miss to many games he will dominate all sides if the delivery to him is really good he will be even better and even if the delivery is crap he will still kick bags ,,...

130 goals for Condos this yr (playing 90% forward) lock it in ....

As HELLSBELLS said, he was kicking goals for fun in the Bendigo Football League last year, which is a stronger league than the Western Region first division, let alone the Western Region second division.

He kicked ten goals on debut at Castelmaine. That effort was bettered at the Kyneton Showground when he kicked twelve goals against Kangaroo Flat in an eight-goal loss. He was also taken off at the end of the third quarter, so he would have easily kicked fifteen the way he was going that afternoon.

Had he played for a stronger team than Kyneton, he obviously would have kicked more goals.

He missed four games mid-year due to his Honeymoon, which is why he didn't kick 100 goals.

The guy kicks some of the most miraculous goals you will see. He'll kick an impossible goal out of nowhere and you'll just shake your head. Then he'll kick another impossible goal minutes later and your mouth will drop.

Think of him as someone who kicks goals like Daicos, but has the one-on-one strength and smarts of Jason Dunstall.

Don't forget he was once on the Western Bulldogs list.

He will dominate this league. Can't wait to check the paper every Sunday morning to see how many bags of ten he kicks. Or how many bags of ten he doesn't kick will be easier to keep track of.

Somehow i don't think you will need to look at the paper to find out the weekly number of goals.

Fair enough x box i respect your reply no need to go into his personal life re his honeymoon........why he missed games

we all know that he was on the bulldogs list (obviously he can play) and we all know he has had 5 clubs in 5-6 years Parkside,Keilor,OEG,Kyneton now Deer Park

All your doing is down grading the competition WRFL divi 2 you sound like its the worst competion in local merto football which it is far from, yes there is a few struggling sides like every other local comp, going around but mate pay abit of respect to the teams who will finish in the top 3-4

You sound like you know Condos pretty well, can you please answer me this why hasnt Jimmy chose a Agrade club, say Keilor and taken the competion by the scruff of the throat obviously he has the ability to be a 100 goal kicker in a Agrade team this i believe would be more challenging/rewarding for him in years to come he would be a icon in local football

I think he has plenty of years infront of him to make good coin in divi 2 football

cheers

Money talks. He was offered a very good position as player/coach. I'm sure if he played for a stronger club in a stronger league, he wouldn't have been offered the same figure, as other very good metro-based players would also be on good coin. When you're one of only a few shining lights at a club, they can afford to pay you a lot more as the other seniour players would only be on $50-$200 per week.
