West had a big win over Braybrook yesterday then i dropped in to watch Deer Park for the first half....they look very impressive....i asked around but could not find you anywhere Weapons....had a couple at Caroline Springs after that....great set-up except their reserves coaches refuse to buy a Springs shirt....lol....

wasnt there(under the thumb rooster)......was told that d/p were close to 15 goals up at 1/2 time......and close to 30 goal winners at the end.........

I or we have not mentioned finals in any public forum so yes a very premature call. But we will go about our way at building the respect of all other teams, winning as many games as we can and you will see a passion from the Laverton Magpies that money can't buy.

Hey, the Laverton Under 18's didn't get under way due to the fact that there were not enough kids interested in playing (or so I heard). It is a shame that.

It is a shame, West tried to get one up and running this year, we got about 6 players....it's just the outer suburbs now, us older clubs all stuck in the one place together are older people now.

I was lucky enough to go watch the Parkside V Laverton game and what a very good standard of footy it was.

The club and it's coaching staff have done an awesome job in the pre season bringing this guys together because they played a very good brand of footy and have improved heaps on last year. Well done to the club because if they were missing 4 of their best players they will do very well this year.

I was lucky enough to go watch the Parkside V Laverton game and what a very good standard of footy it was.

We were flogged by the Parkside reserves by about 70 points, extremely disappointing for the guys. Parkside had great run and just spread to much. Funny thing is that a lot of there reserves players should be in the seniors because of genuine leg speed they have. Reserves were way faster than the Seniors no doubt about that.

lavo done very well to beat the parkers. Doubt parkside had there best side in, there FF weighed in at about 400kg and i might pull up a bit shy in my estimations. Lavos ruckmen kenner is gonna be unbeatable in this league and is very good around the ground. as for the game standard, WELL very very sloppy and shit skills by both, but it was round one on divvy 2 footy. cant wait for my round one this week can SMELL our first win in a very long time

is that the same cain who in the second quarter selfishly took a shot and missed from 45 when having a teammate in a better position, and copped a spray , yet when confronted with an almost identical scenario in the dying minutes when the game was up for grabs, pulled your kick to a one on one contest at full forward

Krueger, storey, tyrrell, muratore, vincent, lika and dont forget Mansbridge...
So i struggle to see how they had a fair few blokes out.. unless if they were middle or bottom tier players...

Laverton had paone(bnf 2010) and rob smith out, a couple of middle tier players, and 3 on the bench from half way through the first quarter..

Apperently PS coach said on radio that kenna was playing loose man in defence, well the footage on Youtube suggests otherwise.

Seems some people try and find excuses.. The real excuse was Laverton was better than Parkside.
