Why would Secure38 have to name them it is a known fact kids have been approached and offered cash by certain people at DPFC.
I cant beleive what i have saw, a DPFC reserve coach oops has been seen watching u16s train at a certain club. Whats in that, maybe taking down notes of certain players he wants in his u18 2012 side or does his car just keep breaking down everytime an u16 team trains.

POACHING - Wonder if the rule still applies if it can be proven. If the WRFL heirachy are serious about re-establishing the league as stated, then this is a very high priority. You can not have clubs abiding by all the rules and policies that they have put in place, to have some team with a massive financial injection jeopardize "what is right" by stealing kids.

This is bullshit, these kids should be playing for a club that they want to play at with their mates. Kids shouldn't be getting bribed over to clubs with money because that is just going to make it worse for them when they grow up and expect to be paid in the seniors, but fact is they aren't on a list of players to be paid.

your almost right, it started when country clubs decided to make inroads into the metro area and when these players who made the weekly trip got sick of it they then came back seeking similar payments and the spiralling effect continues. if you look at the major country leagues now, its only the highly financial clubs, most of who are affiliated with a gaming venue or a majlor backer who are successful on the field, not unsimilar to metro leagues

pretty new to this forum. Thought i would join up & join you lot.

For me this season Deer Park has played brilliant football, lacking in a few departments, but surely division one footy & a premiership to go with it.

However, what has come to my attention is this Coburg Districts side, which to me has been flying under our radar. I have watched them three times this season.

vs. us
vs. Laverton
vs. West Footscray

I have been going through a lot of their players & they seem to have more youth than any club in this league (or it's just me)

I am sorry if i get names wrong.
I will go through their side
Number 11 joe cali has been doing his job in the midfield & as captain of their club.
damien piperno also has a left foot that goes well over 50 metres.
their full forward leroy spoorle (played vs us, didn't see him in other games) is strong overhead & has a great set shot.
centre half back was adem bektash, basically tucked the ball under the arm & ran any time he got the chance & kicked long to forwards, combined well with his brother hazem bektash playing on the wing, probably one of the quickest on their list.
From what i have seen, i believe no one has actually taken time to study this team. What are other peoples thoughts. Wouldn't be suprised if they get within a few kicks of Albanvale, if not beat them.
Will do a run through after the weekend on our other challengers Albanvale & parkside.

Coburg Districts are 7 wins and 4 losses and have played Braybrook twice. ???

I think everyone is forgetting that its an un even draw, DP Albanvale and Parkside and prob Yarraville only play Nth Sunshine and Braybrook once and Coburg have them twice. So they should be making finals as it automatically gives them 2 extra wins and a fair bit of %.

Everyone keeps saying if DP werent in the comp that it would be very even. If they werent there Albanvale would be sitting on top undefeated 2 or 3 games clear ????? If anyone is under the radar it would Albanvale surely .

IF coburg lose to Albanvale and DP in the next 5 weeks and win the other 3 they will finish 10 and 6. Take out the 4 wins against Braybrook and Nth Sunshine and they are 6 and 6 against all the others. Noy sure how that makes them a challenger to DP ??

All good points u make they way the draw goes we can't help but what I do know is we are on the cusp of making the finals with a huge game this week I find it funny nobody gives us a chance this week we got within 10 points of albanvale last time we played them with close to ten new players into the side very hard second up to beat a contender without the chemistry needed to do so having said that we are a more settled side now and are working together well.

imo skip looking at players from coburg and look outside the square......imo dp if they go up will need a whole new spine nothing against the players in those spots atm........to be right up their dp will need 3-4 onballers chb fb ruckmen and a chf........just to be competitive......

no probs.....thing is i rate coburg.....dunno their ages but players deerpark 27 stated from coburg are on the wrong side of 30.......players you have mentioned would be 30 and under.......except phipps......and even he wouldnt play in a strong div 1 side!!!imo.....i think he played at a strong spotty and im not sure if he played 1's but definately played lots of 2's......

my point is why would deer park go after div 2 footballers????no point if they want to be competitive when div 1 comes around......

atm deer park have a great mix of youth and experiance which is showing in the stats/scoreboard.....

anyways spoke to my boy jimmy condos(18 goals 8 today) and he's on the right track of what the club needs if/when d/p go up.....enough said

Doesnt matter if im good enough or not really, I have nothing to prove to anyone, I can play on sundays next year in super rules lmao so ur waisting ur time. Im a west boy now and that isnt changing for nothing.

If u really want to know I played in the 2s for 3 years due to work. Only playing a few games each year in the 1s. Couldnt train with strathmore when they won the flag and spotty when they lost the GF. (Won B&f in both those years )

Also west when they won the divy2 GF, I did choose to play with my mates and loyal west players in the 2s half way through that year, Cheers Kingy. instead of playing with all the players that ironically left the following year except a couple. (got runners up) I wouldnt change that either, it was one of the best years of footy ive experienced

For me its not about the $ or being the best, I love footy and enjoy the atmostphere around the club and the players I play with, if its 2nds or 3rds, Divy 1 or 2 I dont care as long as im playing and enjoying it with mates

Your missing the point here Deer Park are recruiting players to play in division 1 finals not to be in the middle or bottom of the table. You and phipps are maybe ok division 2 players but your not division 1 finals players.

Ok for divy 2 lmao Ive been tagged as a backman since juniors, played on the best players week in week out and only had 2 blokes kick 4 or more on me. I believe ive held my own and beaten some good names by the jimmys bought for me after the game by my oponents.
(no offence but you were obviously not 1 of them)

DP should be Thinking about players like kingy, speaks, harris, backus, fish, brown. These blokes are young enough and can play footy. Give them a better team around them and they would excell, even more no doubt without the pressure of being the best onballer or forward etc.

Outside of Jimmy Condos surely Christian Day would be the best recruit the comp has seen in some time.

I played a year with Daisy at Abers in 05 and he starred across the back half in a strong A Grade (granted not as strong as now).
