The traffic to get to training from his house to hoppers crossing is bad so that’s why he joined deer park. Or so I heard.
That is absolute bullshit. I can’t believe the shit that come out of people’s mouths in this comp.
We all know it had nothing to do with the traffic. It was all about playing at the club with the best canteen in the league! 🤪

Gee, browsing the EDFL forums it seems they have as many problems as the WRFL has. Two teams touting the player points rules, perceived favouritism to particular clubs, underage final result being investigated, behind the play incidents, calls to sack the Board.

Local footy certainly has its issues. Salary caps and player points has certainly made administering local footy more difficult.

Salary cap in particular cannot be properly governed at local level.

Are Caroline Springs going to be a new favourite?

Hoppers president tells investigators what they offered Redpath but then he knocked back that offer as deer park doubled it so everyone now knows what Redpath is earning including the investigator

Not sure this would hold up buddy. He doesn’t need to give clubs a reason why he rejected a clubs offer. Nor would he tell the club what his getting at the club he signs with. I’ve heard rumours as well but nothing that would hold up in an investigation.

They don't need to give clubs a reason but they do. There's very little secrecy when it comes to offers from rival clubs.

Once again, who cares what certain clubs offered Redpath or what Deer Park are paying him and what business is it of the investigator while discussing Hoppers Books? The way people talk on here you would think there was only one AFL player delisted or retired at the end of 2018. Last I checked the VFL don't have reserves anymore so there's close to another 600 ex VFL listed players running around suburban ovals. I'll have a guess and say from the past two seasons there would be close to 1000 ex AFL/VFL listed players either playing suburban football or retired and people on here are worried about 1 player. The only reason for this is he ended up at Deer Park. Spotswood have a Brownlow Medalist playing for them and nobody has blinked an eye. St Albans have 3-4 ex AFL listed players yet there's nothing to see there either. Even though rumours i've heard is they are very lucky they weren't investigated for last season's salary cap as they would've put the talk of Deer Park to shame. Altona have 5-6 ex/current AFL/VFL listed players so do Werribee but again lets not talk about that, lets focus on Deer Park and Redpath. This season has been the closest for a very long time and i'm actually looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Your a flog
There are people out there that know more than you do.
I heard directly from Redpath what he wanted when he was shopping himself around. Just because DP were willing to cheat the system to get him to the club I am a flog?

Lets see if DP get audited for the 2019 season. Current charges are for the 2018 season at this stage.

Fair post however most at Altona were originally from there or close by. Tighe, Post, Goetz, originally from Altona if I’m correct. Most of these at Altona are a bunch of mates so slightly different in this case.

So a 9 team competition folds and 600 players disperse ? I’d check your calculations again !!!

I was going by most clubs having a list of approx. 50 and I had 11 clubs in my head for some reason over 2 seasons so I wouldn't be far off.
That still generates a lot of handy players in suburban leagues. Personally, I'd prefer 5 VFL listed players than 1 ex AFL player.

Totally agree. Werribee would be the same which is great for local clubs who are fortunate enough to have home grown kids who have played at a high level and returning to play with mates. What people need to realise is not all clubs have that luxury so to land an ex AFL listed player it's going to come at a price, not only cash but player points. I believe St. Albans would've found the points factor extremely difficult to manage which again is why a points system once structured correctly is the only required control method in local football.

So would I but it’s only the 22 - 24 players who played VFL development each week who no longer have a game. So 200 not 600.

Context is important so you can't lump them all in the Redpath boat.
How many games were they predicted to play and have played?
How do they fit in with the match payments of other team members?
Who are the other team members?
Listed vs successful at the level are two different things. Plenty of slightly better than average players have been on an AFL and VFL list. They may draw 6 points but how many in the WRFL can demand money that exceeds even 2K a game? (Legit question).

Good points you make. I think days are gone when you can have a $2K player. Based on the salary cap, average payment per player is $517 dollars.

3 players on 800-1000= $2700
12 players on 400-700= $6600
6 players on 100-400= $1500
1 player on 2000 = $2000
Total $12800

Puts team $1,500 a week over the salary cap. As the salary cap reduces it is going to be harder to even play $1,000 players unless you cook the books.

Well considering we were not found guilty of any real breach(if anyone thinks the bullen one is going to stand up you need to get a grip on reality) apart from admin areas which is no where near what some of you clowns state and the fact that evidence from goose ghazi and Eames is what is being used then well done wrfl and afl vic what a waste of space

How do you know who has spoken to investigators?
Statements taken from two or ten outside of the club wouldn’t be used for anything more than cross referencing purposes. Hope you’re not thinking it’s the main evidence.

Why don’t you actually find out what the breaches are ? The Bullen situation is one of several. If you don’t know your club is cheating then , you Sir are the goose . It may not be next week but your club will be officially exposed at some point and any successes you think you may have had will go down as a sham . Built on zero integrity.

Last time I checked these admin ones are fraudulent ones as in false/misleading statements and failing to disclose payments I.e paying 1000 instead of 250 I think you might find out that there’s are a slight issue
