Looks like 3 teams going for last spot in finals , spotty even though lost against Caro have the easier run home !
Whats going on with DP reserves ? From no wins have beaten the top 2 last 2 weeks

Be good to see St Albans or CS sneak into that 5th final spot. St Albans haven't been up there for years and Caro never been in div 1 finals.
Lakers have top 2 sides next fortnight where Spotswood have bottom 3 sides unfortunately. Can confirm Dutchy will be on board again next year champion

Has anything been spoken of regarding finals or a plan for when we finally come out of lockdown?
WRFL website has full plan...

The key elements of the roadmap are as follows:

  • In view of the current lockdown, the home & away season has effectively concluded for all competitions.
  • Subject to State Government restrictions, junior finals are set to commence on Sunday September 5 with the first of a two-week knock-out finals series, comprising of the top-4 teams from each applicable junior competition (Under 12s & upwards). Junior Grand Finals are set to be played the following Sunday September 12.
  • All WRFL Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s football competitions (including both male & female Under 18s competitions) are set to return from Saturday September 11, again subject to State Government restrictions.
  • The TIV Division 1 Senior Men’s & VU Polytechnic Division 1 Senior Women’s football competitions are set to play a three-week top-6 finals series, reduced to a two-week top-4 finals series if necessary, and further reduced to a one-week top-2 finals series/Grand Final if necessary. Each scenario is again subject to State Government restrictions at the time. The Division 1 Senior & Reserve Grand Finals are set to be played the week beginning Monday September 20, most likely on the Friday September 24 Public Holiday.
  • The Prestige Group Real Estate Division 2 Senior Men’s & VU Polytechnic Division 2 Senior Women’s football competitions are set to play a two-week top-4 finals series, reduced to a one-week top-2 finals series/Grand Final if necessary.
  • The Alan Mance Motors Division 3 Senior Men’s football competition is set to play a two-week top-4 finals series, reduced to a one-week top-2 finals series/Grand Final if necessary.
  • Under 18s (male & female) competitions are set to play a two-week top-4 finals series, reduced to a one-week top-2 finals series/Grand Final if necessary.
  • Victoria University WRFL Netball is set to resume on Friday September 10, with the first of a two-week knock-out finals series, comprising of the top-4 teams from each division.

Clay Smith is a good get for Point Cook's 2022 season.

table tennis - any comment?

So the original plan for;

Top 6 on 11-12/09
Top 4 on 18-19
Top 2 on 24/09

I'm of the opinion that there is a realistic chance the GF won't be played until 2nd weekend (9th) of October. I also think if it can't be played by 16th, they won't play it at all.
What about bi laws that state if you miss 6 weeks of footy you require 14 days of training. How can any club expect to go out and preform at their best and maybe play in a gf with no games in 2-3 months of maybe 2-3 training sessions. Yes I know it’s the same for both sides but it’s just not fair. Better off scrapping the season and start preparing for next year.

It will come down to getting participating clubs agreement re: bylaws etc ...

As I said, I believe the season will be scrapped if they can't play it by 16/10
