Re: Western Region Football League team

Its a shame you couldn't get to game today blueballs. Your mate Fenton made me laugh out loud and the one you like to sledge ( Clarkey ) had a day out and was back to his best in very ordinary conditions. Perhaps you had better choose a better idol ( Fenton ) and start to acknowledge you know nothing about very little.:thumbsu:

Who said anything about being my idol. Said I knew him and glad to see him bag a few...

Read back over your posts...you were glowing in your earlier posts regarding he's impact on the wrfl and the rock in praticular. Maybe you dont idolise him but you certainly gave the impression you hang out of he's bum.

Not potting Adam in any way...just the goose blueballs....he is the one looking at things through rose coloured glasses.

sometimes you can learn more from a result like that than what you would if you were in the game for 3 and a half quarters, i know sunshine got flogged first up last year and ended up finishing higher than the team that beat them in that game

since i've been playing against albion they have always fallen away after a loss like that, i hope you blokes do learn from coz i want our league to be strong and competitve

must note the colts were very good on the weekend though:thumbsu:

i have alot of confidence we can bounce back mate its not the end of the world and we willregroup foer this week. as i said u blokes were good we had 3 or 4 winners on the day mainly couple of our smaller players u blokes just had more winners over the ground for the game.

Keep in mind the colts had a few out, Caddy , Whittmer , Mcgregor , Stevens and Bracken to name a few. Who do you think won their spot on the week end. How did the team meeting go after the game? What areas do you hope to improve in for next week?

Re: Western Region Football League team

i dont think there wil b any drastic changes i think with few winners trner davies broadbent and couple of others in patches were good just need few more blokes to play more consistent footy for 4qrts!

Re: Western Region Football League team

team meeting how do u no bout that? do u play in the ones at albion?

Nah mate......for whats its worth Hoppers are young fit and well drilled....their is not much between your two sides on paper. Many times over the game I heard your players back answer and at times disreguard your runners direction. Is there a problem with your coach already?

obe1 - you and the rock are always mentioning who is unavailable. Perhaps you could recommend to a few of your fringe players that they head down to Roberts Street for a game? Maybe some of Ash Lewis' mates?

Not much chance of that, only stating the facts regarding the in's and out's. The young blokes who played all did well, the quality of the one's who were out speak for themselves. If it were up to me Ash would have never been cleared to you guys. Can never have enough depth when you are chasing three in a row.

Tappy well done on being captain of your side, thought the little bloke 16 played well and Dell went good Fenton would be a lot better with better deliver was surprised to see Tymms running out in the two l would rate him as one of Albion best players and allot of other players from different clubs would agree he is the hardest player on there list and always has a crack. l think its in Albions best interests to have in the team as they lacked hardness.
Thought it was funny of Grenfell to tell a couple of funny jokes on the weekend one was at the start of the game when told Massis they will win and win easy and the other was to Taylor that he was going to give a footy lesson, thanks Dane and the educated bunch on the hill for making the whole Albion experience all worth it

I have enjoyed this whole Grenfell experience. Regardless of how he goes this year he should be encouraged to speak out as much as possible! Personally, I hope he kills it so he can tell us all about it....

Re: Western Region Football League team

Looks like its going to be a long year for the newcomers to Div 1. Watched the first half of Colts v Albion the 05 06 premiers were very good. Headed down to Hoppers at half time it was good to see Tails get a few touches for the Cats. Bit of talk down at Hogans Rd that Redda might be making a comeback. Can anyone confirm or deny.

Not sure about broadbent's impact as his direct opp.lindsay had 38 touches and many clearences, not sure who number 16 was but he stood out.
The thing albion needs to do is bond together and all become mates,i know they have got some recruits who are getting good money but they need to become good team mates with blokes like buttina dixon assard and others that have been around the club a bit and all show the respect to each other,no matter where there from and who's getting paid what as this is most important when going in to battle together.
I believe albion have a talented list and could be a top three if all things gel together ,the big differences yesterday was colts hardness at the contested ball.
Now to next week against hoppers a very winnable game as we really should have put them away and if albion are at there very best can get a good win under their belt against good oppostion, and get some confidence for the year,if not could end up being along year.

Re: Western Region Football League team

We had a good win on the weekend, getting up by around 75 points in the wet. Started really well, and carried it on throughout the day. Not getting carried away as Altona had a few injuries throughout the day, with both coaches going down at different stages. We played smarter footy, and we're harder at the contest for most of the day, and forwards presented well. Frosty kicked 5, along with Carroll who kicked 3... Millar was prob best on, him or Davis. Still got Magnussen and Connor to come back in to the side, lookin forward to Glenorden this week.
