Yeah congratulations to Brad Julier would have to be one of the best ruckman in local football (any arguments). Has been super for the Colts in the 3 years that his been there. I caught up with him for a few beers in the early hours of Saturday morning. The big fella was last seen at McDonalds - Clarendon St with the Skipper and Coxy at about 6.00am. Good effort to go again on the same night at a local pub in South Melbourne.

Your the one that made the pace and backing up also, not dad for an old bloke......I love beer hahahahahahahaha

Yeah its not a bad drop the old amber fluid. Someone got me onto a new drink during Brad's celebrations. Vodka Lime and Soda (real lime) also not bad. Might have one last crack on Saturday before going to the paddock for a well earned spell.

Who you talking about here Obe, Tongala???

If so, good on them, they have a good solid young team who are well coached and played two finals this year. A couple of good quality top up players would hold them in good stead in 09. If you were checking up on Tongala though you were in the wrong thread, skip over to the Murray league link

No Trav, not talking about any league in particular, I was just chatting to one of your sponsors and she told me what I posted.

Seeing as you have raised Tongala, hows the recruiting going up that way?

My interest in the KFL was for a totally different reason.:thumbsu:

Not sure how he would rate against BJ , others can decide that but let him know he is invited to do preseason with the colts if he likes - Thanks

BJ well done on the priest been stiff not to have won 2. Not only is he the best ruckman the bloke dominates in any position he is put rarely gets out marked and Rock07 is right us players walk taller when the big fella is running around. He knocked back a very large and good offer from a Geelong side early in the year too. He is a great clubman always helping out Colts very lucky to have him. Owe alot of the past success to him.

Where did he come from and how long has he been at the Colts?

he wont come cheap have heard a rival 2nd div clu have offered $450 a game

Don't know much about the bloke but looking at it from a playing level the gulf between First and Second division is getting bigger. You'd have to question the thought processes of a first division club that would want to match that sort of money (450) per game for a player that has done very well in the second division. IMO, don't think that any of the clubs would offer that in the first year. Then again, stranger things have happened.

He has played first division before for Altona and he was there first ruckman last year and the year before whilst being a reserve on williamstowns list, some of you might remember him

Looks like Albion is back to its old tricks, coaches parkside recruit wins the b and f, coach runs 3rd, assistant coaches giving votes to mates........a guy wins the reservers comp medal and his 4th club b and f and cant get a game in the firsts? They self destruct again soon.

Been at the colts 3 years now came from Eastern League i think Knox in Div 2 then East Ringwood Div 1 made the Rep side, has a good basketball background guess thats where he gets his awareness in traffic. Great sight seeing him burst thru packs with a couple of blokes trying to hang onto him.

Not a great sight if you're trying to hang onto him or supporting the opposing team. Every time he did it the only thing I could say was 'F@#k, not again!!!"

Have not heard much about Tongala's recruiting at this stage. I think they have won the first battle though, and that is retaining their list from this year. One key retirement and thats it from what i have heard.

Thinking of coaching Ardmona next year Obe, from what i hear their coach may be on his last legs. A bad grand final incident occured so i have been told. The guy is a bit renowned for the occasional mishap. All the best with the application. (!!)

you may have actually seen him a few years ago remember that under 16 game that the first quarter went for 45minutes? pretty sure he played.

havent you got better things todo on day 2 of holidays

He knew that he would never play firsts at Albion. Once labelled 'a reserves player' it's hard to change especially at Albion. I think he would look good in the red, white and blue personally and would enjoy starting at 2pm.

He knows he has 3 or 4 good years of footy left especially if he gets fit and will will have to decide whether he wants to be known as a good reserves player or get out of his comfort zone and play seniors.
