Yeah a spotty hero kicked a torepedo from the goal sqaure in to the face of a 14 yr old kid a real brave effort
The dogs got there right whack
I also here the boys father is fuming cant wait for the finals
Good luck you spotty dogs

wasnt one of the kids given shit to the female goal umpire in the 2s game was it.

so whats the kids dad going to do run onto the ground and even up,smart move that would be

Perhaps it is time for the clubs to voice their opinion formally. it was only a matter of time before this happened. There have been times where the Glenorden supporters this season have attempted to approach opposing teams and pick fights while teams are either walking to their huddle or off the ground.
There is nothing wrong with a bit of heckling, but some people lack the intelligence and mental capacity to heckle with humor and wit, and try to intimidate. They should be banned.
But
You can't ban people from attending a public park. So the club should be sanctioned. Put a code of conduct in place for clubs participating in Division 1 and 2. If you breach you get relegated, if you breach in Div 2, you get suspended.
Already the Glenorden U18 team has been pulled for the rest of the season, after several incidents. If the league fails to act and something worse happens, who will be accountable?

No, he's going to walk around and target anyone wearing spotty dog colours. Then he's going to walk off into the sunset leaving a trail of destruction....Rambo style.

Anyway, I heard that the ball didn't hit anyone. So what's the real story, it did or it didn't?

Kevin Hillier is a paid employee of the WRFL who gets on here often.
He has made a decission not to go to Glenorden this weekend for the game to be telecast, why is this so?
He obviously knows of the problems associated with Glenorden supporters and does not want to risk the safety of his crew or himself at a volitle area.
Maybe he should be going back to the WRFL and pushing the issue about the investigation.
If something else happens prior to a decission of the investigating committee, they are going to look awfully stupid.

What happens if from the investigation players are given suspensions? this week they are allowed to play and could turn a result of a game, should the opposing clubs then be allowed to protest about this.
It really opens up a can of worms and needs to be addressed immeddiatly.

Some comments heard recently is that Glenorden should be kicked out of the league, similar to what happened to Central Altona.

I don't think the club needs to pay such a price for some bad eggs in the crowd. Central Altona made themselves powerless in a similar situation because they were struggling for players and hoped that the problems would go away but they didn't. I don't know if Glen Orden have struggled for players. If you what you say is true about their supporter behavior at times, then the club needs to sort it out fast. It only takes a couple of years for things to go very sour. Central Altona played off in a grand final against the Frankenstein Hammerheads in 2002 and it didn't take long for the rot to set in after that.

Where did you hear this about Kev? If it's true, he will probably have to offer a please explain to the clubs. That would be interesting.

We had the same thing at Glenorden - the guys standing behind the goals at the club rooms end were pulling and pushing at our Forwards when someone was lining up for goal....

Hotspot. If you're playing at the moment, you'd know about the third man in rule. Spotty were getting on top and an all in is not the way to get the points. Savalas got a couple of weeks for his indiscretion and Ray and the bloke who got whacked were free to play the next week. So who came out better off?

No one at the game on Saturday would have a second story to tell. Are you looking for someone to come in and say that old blokes from Spotty threw a few cut lunches first? Things got way out of hand and the grog was largely to blame.

Clubs have a responsibility that extends beyond their players. Laws say that they must do their best to create a safe environment for all, regardless of who they are. It may not be fair on the club but that's the way it goes. I don't think Glen Orden will be hung however they will be encouraged to do something about the major players in the brawl. If their penalty for the offenders and the league recommendations are too soft, there's nothing guarding against this happening again. If it does, they'll be in strife then. Look at the examples of Central Altona and Newport. Players didn't want to go to Central and Newport were booted out. Both senior clubs aren't around anymore. Both were great clubs once but they lost control, simple as that.

Even some of the big tough blokes in here would rather watch a game of footy instead of head butting some bloke's fist.

missed the seniors game but can say
the lack off respect shown towards the club umpires in the 2nds game by some of the home team players was an absolute disgrace, at half time one of the glernordinarys gave HIS club umpire the biggest mouthfull of abuse i have ever witnessed before, one of the young spotty boys told him to ease up he's doin a job and then copped a mouthfull as well im not 100% sure but was told the piece of shit with mouth was one of there leaders.

if this was altona centrals or newport investigation would be over club/players suspended already,

Altona people should not be thinking this way anyway. They should be confident that they can get over the line this weekend against Glenorden.

altona are a far superior side than glenorden, they will win. aaron freelynd will push any contender for the priest medal.

Sorry won't even make top 5.
Stating to get a sense of Altona talking themselves up. I would really like Altona to just get their heads down bums up and when they start to produce some quality DIV 1 senior football and they start to challenge the top sides consistently then start to make a little noise. I'm not Anti Altona just started to notice a bit of hype being over talked of late and not referring to BF

yeah i havent heard much of the hype but we still got a long way to go before we start to become a solid contender. weve showed patches this year but its gunna take a while for this list to develop into 1 capable of being competitive at this level. In saying that i think when the time dus come itll b more than just competitve but chucking our heads down and arses up is whats gunna be needed if we are to become what all the ppl expect us to become especially after todays result.

I just watched the pies smash the swans....again. Any chance they can beat a side in the 8.

Anyway back to the wrfl, colts had a great win today, the game was won early on with both sides evenly matched colts won the first quarter against the wind and it started from the middle the two jacobs boys were on fire along with julier in the ruck, the second quarter was fairly even and spotty did well to hold the colts up, spotty were running and linking up well. colts pressure around the footy all day and their clean hands ended up being the difference d.jacobs was unstoppable and had good support from his brother masis twomey and up fwd brannan was superb and mcgregor was always dangerous.
For spotty molan was good up fwd mcghie had a great duel with hoath, harris was ok, beazley was very good in the first half, i think spotty missed isbister and langlands and when those two are back in the side it will be alot closer.
In the end it was a great 4 quarter performance from the colts, and promising signs for the future with some young kids playing well also.
I think the top 3 is done now and with st.albans knocking off hoppers again, that fith spot might be out of hoppers and sunshine.
It's time to see what sunshine are made of also with a home game against albion, a chance to cement a finals birth, i doubt they can do it...the cats for me.
That was a fair essay.....well i got time out in the middle of bass strait on my way to tassie, enjoying two great victories
GO COLTS !!!!!! GO PIES!!!!!!

really think altona are in need of some older bigger body exprienced players to help your kids out freeza one out at moment until this happens you will be bottom 4

GO COLTS !!!!!! GO PIES!!!!!!

Yep, go Pies and yep pretty spot on with your best players in the local game.

No excuses for Spotty as their losses were pretty much counteracted by yours. The game was won in the field kicking and contested ball departments. You blokes hit targets (although not as much as usual) and got first hands on the footy. Tackling pressure was pretty good too. D Jacobs just knows where it's going and as I said earlier he knows how you blokes like to play the game now, so he's even more bloody dangerous. Julier's strong body work is a real plus and he doesn't mind having a run through the guts as well.

An interesting performance from Spotty. I wouldn't expect a repeat of that one next time you play. Then again, I've only seen a couple of games this year. Any avid spotty watchers got anything to add?

It wasn't much of a game to watch and lacked a bit of atmosphere. The last game was much cleaner and a bit more of a pressure cooker atmosphere. However a win is a win for you lot, played some very good hard footy and Spotty at times, looked like a deer caught in headlights. A good dress rehearsal for both sides.

Why were you getting splinters on the arse for so much of the game?

Hey DaVinci i couldnt get down to the game today. Can you give me a run down of who won and who were the better players for both sides.

Very disappointing today from a spotty perspective. Thought we lacked pressure through the midfield and Julier gave colts first use of the ball all day. Delivery into the forward line was poor with the ball being bombed onto leading forwards heads. For a big time game it lacked a lot of atmosphere which was disappointing and there was a good crowd. I thought Molan worked well all day up foward but the forward line really missed regular smalls such as langlands and Isbisiter who create great forward line pressure. Over all i thought spotty lacked intensity and run. But i'm sure Choppa will take this game on board to rally the troops to get them up and going. Always hard coming up against quality opposition when their previous matches were won by a combine total of almost 400 points. I think these 2 teams will meet in the Grand Final!

In other games St Albans are starting to find some great form. Altona as i mentioned earlier in the week have got a long way to go being knocked off by Glenorden. They need to go out and recruit some establish quality players to assist with the young ones. They can't just wait for the young ones to blossom on their own for good football habbits are learnt from the quality established players.

You make a good point. Altona have a few old heads that have been at the club along time and do play for the club. But do need some better established older players. At a place like Glenorden intimidation can make a big difference when you have a very young side. Of the older players Freeland is by far the superior with no other older heads that can really make a difference. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong. wolud like to know if there are any others.

In saying that take nothing away from Glenorden. They had set themselves for that game and achieved what the wanted to. From all reports it was a fantastic game, played in good spirit and enjoyable for all watch. Maybe the WRFL should take the positives out of ganes like that and try to promote these kind of games every now and then because they mean a hell of alot to the clubs that play in them.

glenorden v altona was given the radio game but it was switched because of last weeks incident so to a degree the wrfl is trying to promote the clubs down the bottom end of the ladder

just on altona obviously they have some quality younsters but they do need some bigger bodied more experienced players to help the kids, i really thought the vikings would of pushed a few sides this yr and been a lot more competitive against the top teams but so far i think they would be disappointed with their season so far

spot on. altona should have progressed more this season, to lose to glenordan, shows they haven't seperated themselves from the bottom of the pack

All I was trying to say was they should try to use the radio game there as a positive. by switching the game mid week puts more of a negative impact than anything else. People outside would look at it as they have major problems if the leagues own radio show doesnt want to go to a specific game. There was trouble after a Port v Spotty game earlier this year may have only been minor but wouldn't stop them from broadcasting there.:thumbsu:

After incident at glenorden last week with game being called off, there is no way in the world they deserve a radio game, they have to now work hard on gaining respect from rest of league before they should be considered having good publicity. You cant just sweep last week under the carpet & say dont worry about it lets still reward them. Unlucky for altona but correct decision by radio mob. As for incident at port colts that was 2 hrs after game & was minor incident between to clubman so nothing to do with league.

The run home for the three teams fighting it out for 4th and 5th spot.

Hoppers: West (a), Albion (h), Colts (a), Sunshine (h), Orden (a)

St Albans: Orden (h), Altona (a), Yarra (h), Spotty (a), Sunshine (a)

Sunshine: Albion (h), Spotty (a), Altona (h), Hoppers (a), St Albans (h)

The Kangas have the toughest run home, only playing one team below it in the final five games.

St Albans can really consolidate a finals spot over the next three weeks, playing teams teams below them over that time. If they slip up over the next three weeks, it may be crucial in their quest for a finals spot.

Hoppers form is hard to pick at this stage. However they will be looking to run into some form next week for a tough three weeks after that. Going to be an interesting final month a bit in the WRFL first division.

Massive game for the kangas this week against the arch rival at home. They pantz us at their ground earlier on in the year and we will be looking to make amends this week and keep our 2008 finals quest alive.
