Just got word both hoppers boys were cleared, great result for them.
In my opinion a good result for footy in my opinion, don't think clubs should be able to report anyway.
Looking forward to the finals!!

you must have a direct line to the tribunal or someone up high as you always seem to know the ducks guts about anything happening in this league before anyone else, good luck to you and for saturday

It get the talk going on here and it's slightly entertaining.

Noble, but hard to believe. You mean you guys won't try and 'test' Murphy's shoulder on Saturday? "If you can't beat them at full strength then you don't deserve to win"...ok, let's see what happens on Saturday. My bet is that will go out the window and you'll say "all's fair if a player puts himself out there". Contradiction?

What happens on the field shouldn't necessarily stay on the field anymore - it's 2009, not 1970. Yeah, players might look after each other (and still do), but leagues and the perception of the league is just as important. If someone doesn't want to stick to the unwritten (and IMO outdated) player code then so be it. I bet you won't genuinely be disappointed to see Spotty without Jensen when you meet them next week or the one after. You might feel sorry for the bloke, but you won't be disappointed.

Footy is about getting one up on your opposition, in whatever way you can. But if you choose to do it illegally, by belting someone, then too bad you pay the price.

Word has it that wo tribunal members ( who sat that night ) were at the ground and saw the incidient. I'd say, if true Ray is lucky with 4.

Interesting to hear than D.Thomas & L.Morsello have both now been reported and face a tribunal hearing tonight.
I have never heard of this happening in the wrfl, especially so late in the week. Both teams are not happy with the other. Would be an interesting rematch if it happens this year.
Anyone from either team want to elaborate on the situation.

Chris Murphy?

Conspiracy Theory
Clubs being able to report is meant to give the 'Umps in the crowd' a helping hand. Cover up!

'Umps in the crowd' are most likely there to keep an eye out for 'dog acts' behind play, so they are 'helping out' the umps on the ground. Sometimes the 'umps in the crowd' suffer from SVD, selective vision disorder. This cruel disorder renders the 'Ump in the crowd' blind to any more than one indiscretion that occurs in a 1 minute timespan. Usually, any memory of the first indiscretion is wiped out by the second indiscretion.

The advent of the club report was necessary due to the rising number of 'umps in the crowd' who were diagnosed with SVD. The clubs were given the power to report as a way of providing extra support to 'umps in the crowd' afflicted with the terrible disorder.

Since the 'umps in the crowd' are there to help out the umps on the ground and the Club report is the there to help out 'the umps in the crowd', getting rid of the club report will only serve to encourage more foul acts.
In order to increase an SVD Umpire's feelings of self worth, most club reports are thrown out or poorly investigated. This is designed to protect the umpire's sensitivities and cover up the impact that SVD is having on the umpires fraternity.

*Breaking News*
Boundary Umpire in Saturday's game diagnosed with SVD. It's spreading!

Disclaimer. You know the drill. I deny any liability and admit to poor humour.

Spoty putting Hoppers players on report and was also told last night Mangan was the STAR wittness. What a disgrace and that is the reason the tribunal threw it out and I hope spoty lost ther bond from it aswell. Jenson has to front the appeals and now that Douggie got off it will make the case against Jenson even worse so as you say 4 weeks is lucky it just might increase at appeals. poor form Spotswood and the committee that tried to pull the wool over the tribunal eyes:thumbsdown:.

Rumour has it that lachy mcghie has a broken hand????

Danny so how did the injuries come up??
Will dougie play after having his jaw smashed in??? i'm sure he will.
Disco and downey must be doubtful and the two concussion boys will surely play!!
We will know soon enough!!

Most important player in Spotswoods side is Mcghie, surely a broken hand has to affect him with marking and ruck contests. If Albion stop him and Okeefe they will be a big show on Sunday. Aaron Tymms is a posible match up for Okeefe, he is a little pest and very good at it.

As for Hoppers injuries both Disco and Downey were there last night so no changes at this stage i am led to believe.

gee your good rock
broken similair to beazers last year, but will still play

gee I'd love to see Spotty win ONLY to rematch hoppers crossing! But I can't see them demolishing Albion. If anything I think Albion would be close to favourties all they have to do is be on Spotwoods toes all day and be pesty & I think there could be a surprise win on the cards.

As for hoppers, Beazer care to inform us of the in's and outs?
Should be the best game of the year & I really think if all things work out the way they should these two teams will be back in the big one in 2 weeks!
GO COLTS!

Albion had a terrible game last time they met. But they did beat them by 5 goals in the first half.

Id be happy to give them as it makes no difference bcos everybody knows whos in and whos not when you watch the 2's, but Im not sure if the people above me would be too happy. So I guess you will have to wait til tomorrow to find out. Or just ask Clarkey. Lol

Was great to see the cats smash the christians last week, but i think the winning of the toss decided the result! Good luck for sunday, its a game the cats HAVE to win to get that gorilla of the back and take the next step! This is probably the most important game for albion since 1984!

And good luck to the reserves vs hoppers, will be a tough game, beware begbee in the square!

I'm more than happy with who i am, unlike yourself and footyman not even revealing who you are!!!!
Hard to get an insight on Danny but maybe Footymans identity could be revealed if you took a line through the threads he posts on.A regular on the T.A.C.board and also has an interest in the best and worst train stations in Melbourne.Surely that tells you something.
