At 3 quarter time the question on most peoples lips was how much Geelong would win by. They led by 82 points and the Bombers looked done and dusted. Most teams would've rolled over and allowed Geelong to waltz home but not Essendon. In the final quarter they came out and kicked twice the amount of goals of the Cats. Bomber Thompson was so concerned about the final quarter that he got Max Rooke to get his jumper back on and return to the field after having been KO'd earlier.

No points from this game but a lot to take away from it and take into next week against the Crows.

Yeah good for you huh. I guess a 65 point hamerring is inspiring if your a Bummers fan, most likely Geelong couldn't be bothered.

That stuff you've been smoking, it's not helping your clarity of thought.

Mate......they were probably exhausted from kicking that many goals!

Glad you can see a positive, but that is one long bow you are drawing!;)

Todays game just goes to show how much the side has improved in the last year. To only lose by 65 points after last seasons 99 point defeat goes to show we are a club on the up. we cut last seasons margin by over a third! And we did it without Hille, Dempsey, Laycock, Fletcher as well as McVeigh still needing more gametime in his legs. When we are up and firing we will be a force to be reckoned with!

Someone needs a reality check plus more. In your first post, the reverse happened where Geelong Rolled over and allowed Essendon a chance to make the score look slightly more respectable. All you will take into the Crows game is the fact that you might have a chance of not getting destroyed. They were very very impressive in their win over Hawthorn today. The margin in your defeat means nothing with only 2 fit players on the bench, many key players out including our main ruckman and the need not to try and over-exert ourselves.

I think their may be something in the water in Adelaide. My other mate from there has been sending me strange SMSs all day.

Delusion at its best. Geelong simply put the cue in the rack in the last quarter today. Last time we played, we were up by 81 points at 3/4 time, before kicking 5 goals to 2 in the last quarter. Today we were 82 points up at 3/4 time, and took the foot off the accelerator, kicking 3 goals to 6.
