I started Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It's really good. Especially on the 2nd hardest difficulty.

Played it on the Nintendo Swtich

Was overjoyed that it was added to the PS game catalog this week
Cant play it without signing up to the Ubisoft game account ? I can't be bothered doing that lol :( I was able to play it on the Switch without doing so!

Been playing some AO Tennis 2 (yes a Big Ant..... classic lol). IMO it does the basics well enough that I can play a fundamental game of tennis (even with janky movements lol). Saw that their latest tennis entry was on "sale" and I purchased it.

And I have to say that I don't mind Tie Break Tennis - it has a few WTF moments AFL 23 style (like running to the ball, attempting a shot on the controller and the player just continues to run into the ball lol) but I'm still enjoying the ins and outs of the game.
Top Spin is very good.

I love a good tennis game, didn't play much of the original Top Spin (had a go at the Xbox version, but mostly played it on pc when I could). Top Spin 2 was my favourite game on the 360, also fond memories of it being my first 1000/1000 achievement completed game. Didn't enjoy Top Spin 3 (or Top Spin 4) as much.

Resisted the temptation to buy 2K24 on release, but pounced a few months later when it was reduced a bit during a sale.
Didn't think it was as good as Top Spin 4 - particularly the graphics were a bit of a let down (in a similar way to AFL Evolution being a step down graphics wise).

Finished Chapter 3 of Black Myth Wukong

Played Vampire Survivors for the first time in ages, made it to the 31st minute in the Deep Forest Level (still have the magic touch lol).

My absolute least favourite part of Top Spin is when serving, you get 'Perfect' as you watch it sail into the net (or wide).

If it's perfect, it should be guaranteed to land in. If it hits the net, it's clearly not perfect.

There's an achievement/trophy related to turning g off all assists (power meter/ball bounce guides etc) that I did yesterday. Honestly played better on instinct rather than checking player position thrn making sure I stop the meter in the green zone.

That said I'm only frequently getting the volley timing wrong now. erving + flat + top spin shots from the baseline is second nature to me now. Don't even know how it finally clicked for me (struggled with it last year).

Oh maybe I'll give that a go, that didn't even trigger for me.

You'll probably not get perfect timing with every stroke (its doable but harder if you're moving from baseline to the net and back every few shots) but I stopped OCDing about it and enjoyed the game more lol.

What kinda annoys me now is having upgraded the coach to gold level and now needing to hit 70% good shots through a match. I tend to blitz to 80% in the first set. Then make a few unforced errors that sees me drop to 60% or so. One match I went as far back as 40% lol.

Man the last tennis game I got into was Virtua Tennis 2 on the PS2 :$

I tried to do a long post the other day I love my tennis video games!

NES Tennis
Great courts pro Tennis 1& 2 on Amiga 500
Andre Agassi + Pete Sampras Tennis on mega drive
Actua Tennis on playstation
Smash courts pro Tennis 2 & 3 on ps2/3

Virtua Tennis 2 - 4 (played VT2 at an arcade before seeing a movie... got the ps2 version that same afternoon lol).

Top Spin 2 is a highlight. One of my favourite games on the 360. And the first I 100% completed achievement wise.

Since EA Sports PGA was on sale for 10 bucks I finally grabbed it. Man it is sloooooooooooow. Love golf, love golf games, but not sure if I'll be able to slug out even one year of a career at this pace. Also lacks simple options like changing the unit to metric, doesn't allow me to putt unless I am on a green, player customization is crap, and other little shit. Only thing it's got going for it over the 2k series is that it has Augusta.

Yeah I got that on sale as well and uninstalled it after 1 round. Absolutely painful.

Your right needing to hit a % over 70 is pretty hard to maintain all match. like you i can hit over 80% in the first set the it tappers off under 70

You playing with real set rules?

I belted Andy Murray in the semi final of the AO in career mode lols

Yes and yes

I actually am going to attempt a difficulty increase soon. (currently on normal). I moved up fairly fast, even normal isn't too much of an increase... I am being pushed to a degree (after I've tired out).

I beat Pete Sampras as Madison Keys in an exhibition match yesterday.

I'm rotating between tennis games, still doing a quick career in AO Tennis 2, started playing Tie Break Tennis on Thursday (funnily enough it was that game that got me more used to playing Top Spin). Had Tie Break playing an ai v ai Nadal v Djokovic match on pc while I was playing career in Top Spin on Xbox. Djokovic won the first set 7 - 5, 2nd set 6 - 3. But Nadal won the third set 6 - 1 and when I paused and saved it to resume tonight. He's leading the 4th set as well.
