For AC I think Origins is brilliant, just love the Egyptian setting, combat and movement is great and it looks stunning.

Been getting a lot of Mk 1 vids for some reason on youtube so a couple of weeks ago re installed MK XL and Ultimate MK11. Forgot how good they are, reckon combat is better in XL but MK11 is just so addicting with Towers of Time, Krypt and rewards in gear, costumes power ups etc.

Think I'm going to take the dive and grab MK1. With the last two I waited until all DC content had been released so I bought the games with all characters, both only set me back $40 combined.

Been on a bit of a Resident Evil binge in recent times

Have run through

Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil Classic/HD

Resident Evil 2 Remake
Resident Evil 3 Remake (actually finished it 3 times and am aiming for a 4th run through).

I'm yet to buy RE 4 Remake.... I might in the future but it doesn't interest me enough as yet (even with the recent sale where it was $27-29 on various platforms).

I do plan on buying the RE 1-2-3 classic trilogy on GOG and giving them a run through at some point in time.

Hsven't played RE 5 for a few years, I'm due a replay of that soon too I guess.

MK chatter (spoiler boxed as I've mentioned it 9342704093742904 times and I'm sure nobody wants to read it again lol)

I was a bit muddled with MK - (repeating myself again I know lol). I was all in on the reboot (MK 9 aka MK), when it was refused classification I still ran the gauntlet and imported it (twice lol). It passed through customs without issue both times.... that said just as I imported another copy.......... the whole R18+ rating came in our country and the "Komplete Collection" was released regardless. Which suited me fine - I celebrated that by buying the pc version locally :p

MK X - purchased it on pc at launch, was gung ho about it in addition to buying the first DLC fighter pack. Then a bunch of random events happened and I ended up not playing it for a while (stopping gaming on pc essentially). Picked up the pace again later on buying MK XL on Xbox One (even though I had "over-paid" for the base game + kombat pack 1. I got MK XL on the cheap digitally when it was still being sold for $89+ at JB Hifi/EB etc). However another key reason why I didn't play it THAT often was there was something in the graphic palette that put me off, not quite motion sickness but not far off (particularly with the way the fatalities were animated)

As I mentioned many times (usually whenever MK gets brought up in these topics lol) - I didn't get MK 11 at launch.... I did want to play it, but I wasn't desperate to. I ended up buying it a year after release just before Aftermath and the Ultimate edition came out. Managed to buy and keep it under the origianal RRP.

MK 11 is super addictive, I still play it today (and I collected it on pc, playstation and completed the holy trinity a few months ago getting the base game + ultimate add-on on the Nintendo Switch :p).

Towers of Time is addictive, came back to it a few weeks ago after a self imposed break. But I regularly place in the top 10 leaderboards on the systems that I play it on. For example last week I was 4th-6th on the weekly Xbox leaderboard.... and I was 5th on Playstation but dropped out to 20th by the time the leaderboards reset for the following week. I haven't played it as often recently as the rewards are starting to recycle and no point going balls out to win rewards I already have!!

Now because of my love of MK 11, I was HYPED for MK 1. Too hyped in fact, I pre-ordered the deluxe edition (early release of the kombat dlc characters etc)..........................The story was ok (not as epic as I had hoped).... but the lack of a towers of time style mode was a buzz kill as well. I ended up shelving the game weeks after finishing the story. I returned to it briefly with every rleease of the latest DLC fighter + kameo........... but didn't last long.

I came back to it again recently when the new DLC story pack was released (didn't buy the DLC, but I returned to the game as "towers of time" was re-launched for MK 1.... but it's not exactly the same as it is on MK 11... so I didn't play it for long and resumed gaming in MK 11).

I felt like MK 1 was to MK 11 as what SF V was to SF IV (not as good in other words lol).

I think Origins is underrated. Probably the most complete without being overly convoluted out of all AC games.

And that Shadya scene is one of the biggest gut punches I've felt in a game!

I’d have Origins > Odyssey, but Valhalla was the best one for me, loved the setting and love Viking lore.

The new AC will unfortunately be compared to GoT which was incredible and can’t see it being as good as that, especially on the combat side of it where GoT has arguably the best combat I’ve experienced in a game.

Excuse the blank I am drawing, but GoT?

I was thinking Gospel of Thomas.

Albeit I spent all yesterday in the face off moshpit as the launcher challenges are bugged making them easier for the time being, I did play normally over the weekend and do wonder if we have the same maps in mind?
Which would you pick? I can’t stand Babylon.

I didn’t like Derelict to start with but it’s okay now, the spawns just suck.

The size of Origins is my preference

I really loved it and Odyssey but Odyssey was a lot of work

I didn't even get out of the first adult mission in Valhalla just did not hook me at all

Started FF7 Rebirth after sitting on it for a while. Just like the first it's a phenomenal game - but man, the movement annoys me to no end. Either give me full control or improve your obstacle recognition so I don't have to run into invisible walls before your game realises I should vault it. Running on uneven ground is ****ing nightmare fuel.

I don’t play many of them but got into Valhalla for a bit. Can’t remember how many hours I put it but I thought I was progressing well and doing a bit of side stuff with some river raids. I hit a part where they unlocked a whole extra section of river raids with a seperate currency and it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I felt like a was playing a mobile game all of a sudden.

Odyssey is only a grind if you make it a grind.

Odyssey offers me nothing new, off the top of my head.
The story doesn't really hold my interest as previous games, and there's only so many times one can go over the same things over, and over, and over again.

I have played every single AC game previous to it. I think the franchise has nothing more to offer.
I look back on the first two games with a lot of fondness, and then Black Flag was a masterpiece.
AC Unity was choppy and a step back IMO.
Rogue was good for the fact you got to play as a Templar - something that should happen more.
I also thought Syndicate was good with an enjoyable story.

Odyssey is just a pile of repetitive content.

I hate the Red Card map at the stadium, and not a huge fan of Lowtown.
My favourite so far is Payback

I haven’t played Red Card yet…but I have played Derelict plenty of times. And I’m not a fan of Scud.

I like that map with the crashed jets but my god is it possibly the smallest map since Shipment.

I think I agree with most of the online commentary from most of the community.
There aren't any maps that are straight up garbage, and in recent titles you could name some each year. except Cold War. Maybe that's Treyarch's conservatism coming out. Two titles in a row they haven't had anything but middling maps IMO.

Infinity Ward tend to have a lot more stinkers but can also absolutely nail the odd map here or there.

But for Treyarch to have had 4 years to complete this title and have nothing that stands out is a bit disappointing. Credit where its due, most of the other parts of the game look like something that's been worked on for years. Very polished and far less buggy that what happens most years.

If I had to choose a couple I liked and disliked it would be payback and vault for good maps. Protocol and Vorkuta for bad maps. Get no flow going on either.

I also think that the smaller map design and treyarch's tendency to punish sniping play with drawbacks, this year being flinch, that this play style is proving difficult on most maps. Scud is really the only one suited to it.

being reminded of the division is great. i really loved the first one - the setting was amazing and the start of the game was awesome. i just wish it kept some of that tenseness and suspense continuing through the story.

i picked up webfishing and have played it with my gf a bit. it's nice, fun and relaxing. i like fishing and fishing games and it scratches that casual itch i have.

Currently #1 on the Towers of Time leader boards on Xbox. Taking advantage of a slow score week I guess, normally 1st place is about 40-60 million ahead of where I am (which with my pattern of play would take 2 days of zero breaks lol).

Just about to hit the 46 million mark myself, 1 million ahead of 2nd spot and 21 million ahead of third. So when I stop and resume play at some point tomorrow the worst I should be is 3rd... or maybe 4th.

In contrast I was 4th on Playstation but now in the teens as I decided to concentrate more on the Xbox version.

The Ezio trilogy was great

I played AC 3 to finish the Desmond stuff

Never played black flag played a bit of either Unity or Syndicate right revenge which but it didn't capture me

Next one I played was Origins and then Odyssey

A couple of hours of Valhalla

I think Origins was about as big as they should be and fantastic

I really loved Odyssey but it was too long
