Is Black Ops Cold War campaign worth it? I love the MW series for what its worth.

Do you need to have played older Black Ops to understand the story? Cause I haven't played since BO1 and I remember the story being extremely confusing.

I haven't played all of the Black Op's games, played Cold War but picked enough of the story up quickly.

If it wasn't on game pass I wouldn't bother but its got me intrigued enough to try it.

Picked up Unicorn Overlord on Switch

Probably the most fun I've had on the switch (excluding Zelda games) since Hades

Strategy based table top sort of game. Makes those treks into the city a little easier

I know its worth it but in principal I refuse to pay digital pricing. Made even worse by the fact this game has no physical copy. The moment this game hits 80 bucks I'll grab it, but not a cent more.

Quick go of Black Ops 6 last night. Zombies was fun, first mission on campaign, standard COD style. Graphically looked good.

Won’t be touching multiplayer.

Such a great game. I think I have it on just about every platform including my phone. Every six months or so I fall back into it for another 10 hour stint.

I also recommend the fan made expansion called downfall once you have clocked every inch of the main game. It’s on steam if you have access to it.

Struggling with the default character... Can't get a good build to work. I may need to unlock more cards.

The 2nd character was OP as hell, cleared it easily on my 2nd run with him with a mega poison build.

I've done one run with the 3rd character, bit more to get your head around with that one.

Your post was the post that broke the cammels back and I decided to downloaded it last night. Got luck and cleared the first act and died at the 2nd acts boss in my first ever run.

I've had the most luck with the first character. I haven't tried the 3rd yet.

I usually go a high block build with some key attack cards or strength build.

Gone back to Warhammer 2 after a year long , expensive and regrettable dalliance with WH3 , I tried to like it but the scheme just looks horrible too me … way too cartoonish and it never stopped looking bad even after 12 months , some ok QOL improvements but all the daemon shit and end times crap didn’t interest me at all , none of the AI factions seem interested in winning even the big guys

Hated it , probably impossible to mod all the good stuff over too WH2 so maybe CA will recognise the error of their ways and just make a pumped up version of WH2 next

Black Ops 6 on my ROG Ally X.

Runs perfect and I'm actually enjoying the multiplayer more than I have in a long time. If it wasn't on gamepass I don't think I would have even bought it so big ups for that too.

Albeit I spent all yesterday in the face off moshpit as the launcher challenges are bugged making them easier for the time being, I did play normally over the weekend and do wonder if we have the same maps in mind?

I always like to play tall with Brittany as a refresher. Usually by the time I feel comfortable again I've managed to weasel a few cheeky marriages in west Francia that are exploitable.

Now I'm trying to resist the urge to go play again myself.

Update: Still binging it at the moment, a few things I've had to re-remember that are super handy:
*If you're playing as a player with Astaru faith make sure you switch over to Christianity (or destroy their religion) before the Christians wage war on you, otherwise you're stuck losing a huge chunk of your empire
*Actively recruit random characters to your court, as you can then leverage them via marriage for getting excellent courtiers who excel in important attributes. Regularly check who's unmarried at your court.
*Given the split of your empire between your eligible heirs every time you die take an active interest in killing off grandchildren as needed to ensure minimal issues at handover for your heir's heir.
*Similarly don't create multiple empires, having just one means they're not being split by multiple heirs, who instead split smaller kingdoms
*While you can't kill your own surplus kids (in most cases), you can however make them knights and send them into battles they've got no chance of winning. eventually they'll get killed off.
*Cultural traditions are super important, the earlier you can start on them the better. 'Strength in numbers' is almost always my first pick.
*Always try force a surrender for uprisings, as white peace simply means you're buying 5 years of peace before they do the same again.
*Start as early as possible in levelling up your towns in terms of gold output (and to a lesser extent troops). It has a compound interest effect down the line.
*Avoid marrying off family members more than you need to, especially younger generations. It's better to have a few unmarried kin on hand to marry off for allegiances should you unexpectedly die and you heir needs to quickly solidify things before there's too much unrest.
*Your wife should be selected on one of three basis, congenial attributes, allegiance, or attributes. Don't be afraid to kill her off if your needs change.

I hate the Red Card map at the stadium, and not a huge fan of Lowtown.
My favourite so far is Payback
