I saw them at the first concert I ever went to at Festival Hall. They were one of the support bands for Deep Purple. The other band was Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Free were much better than Deep Purple. It was a very long night and finished after 3am. My ears rang for the next couple of days.

Robert Randolph is brilliant, he's been around a long time and has done a lot of session work with lots of really well known people. He has about half a dozen albums. Colorblind and We Walk This Road are great his last release was Brighter Days which also has some great tracks including "Have Mercy".



And this was the first song of his I heard. Got hooked from then on. He ALWAYS looks like he is having a great time.

been listening to Punch Brothers, specifically the Phosphorescent Blues album.
apparently its progressive bluegrass. i'm not really into any sort of bluegrass but this is pretty good.
