Anyone else remember Deadstar - Over the Radio?? Around 1999-ish. A really great power pop/rock record, with some great singles, definitely brings the nostalgia of that time with so many great aussie bands around...

I heard this track for the first time today.

Pakistani pop from 1976, it's insane!

Listen to the flourishes that the bass player (or whatever the instrument is) plays 3 or 4 times during the song.

The first one is at 1'50", believe me it's worth the wait!

been playing the most recent mastodon a bit. i was late to mastodon, so didn't catch the band in what is considered their heyday.
i thought 'hushed and grim' was a bit poop and samey after first listen, so ignore it. decided i was curious again and listened after a couple of years and it grew on me. having now bought the album and played through the entire album, i realised that it really is a bit samey but there's some songs that will stay with me. certainly more complex and musically interesting than 'emperor of sand'. but i find it's very vocal heavy - yes it's great you have three vocalists but it wouldn't hurt to shut up a bit more.
