Just happened to stumble across this thread after seeing an image of @craegus's largely Wests Tigers collection on a Google search. Ive trawled through all 191 pages and am astounded by some of the collections on display.

I collect Warriors NRL jerseys myself. We lack a players jersey or match worn jersey market with the Warriors. Very difficult to acquire one and you have to have contacts in the club, with players or buy the few that are given for charity auctions. Warriors sell on average 40,000 jerseys a year so they hardly have to branch out into that market and I enjoy the exclusiveness of owning match worn jerseys.

TBH I know very little about Aussie Rules. I have been reading posts by another Kiwi on here and with all due respect I think he overstates the popularity of the sport here. There would be more people playing petanque IMO.

That being said it was great of the sport to bring a real bonafide game to Wellington. Greatest thing was seeing the faithful from both teams cross the ditch to watch it. Amazing! Maybe next time the AFL can have a media blitz explaining the rules.

Anyway, cheers for the great thread and glad to know Im not the only one with issues . Damn hobby is addictive aint it???
