Folks I haven't been collecting the afl tops for a good few years and with being in ireland I've lost touch with the recent rough values.

Thinking of letting go a few of the match worns in my collection (afl and international rules) - if anyone who's in the know who wouldn't want to buy any of them but could give me some honest advice might be willing to help, please feel free to pm me or reply on here and I can pm you! Cheers

When you say bargains, what sort of money are you picking those up for? I want to get into a few more NBA match worns.

That Fisher jersey is a retail too but still awesome as an old Giants fan.

Depends on lots of factors but if you can get a photomatched jersey of a multiple time All Star for under $400US then you are doing well. Both of those were well under that but I had to photomatch them myself, that's the real key to getting a bargain.

Yeah, I know.

Yeah, I know.

Cool, thanks for the info. What photo resource are you using for photo matching?

The Vin Baker is special.

Getty mostly. Google sometimes. Lots of old press photos have been sold at auctions and a few times I have found matches to some of my jerseys. Old trading cards can be good as well if the pics are close ups.

North jumper number 61 - pride and joy this one
Boomer Harvey match worn from 2016
He had a sportsmans night and auctioned it off and I had the highest bid - after the auction had finished he came over to speak to me and explained how it was match worn from this year - 1 of 3 for the year - as it was sold unsigned I asked if he would sign it after the night and have a few photos which he said happily said yes - I told him that I have 61 jumpers (he said more than what he had) and had a few items for him to sign to which he said come and see him the next day and he will do all of it for me! So I spent another half an hour with him talking and he signed everything - an absolute top bloke was great with my two young sons had more photos with all of us and a once in a lifetime for me - not everyday a you get to meet and spend Time with your sporting hero! That's awesome mate, gave me a great smile reading that. For all of Harvey's knockers, I do think that he genuinely is a humble guy, he just liked getting under opponents' skin. Glad to hear you had a great time

Thanks guys glad you enjoyed the read!
You hear So many stories of people's heros being disappointments so I thought I would share a good one!
