A follow up to this post, since receiving the jersey in the mail from my eBay purchase back in November, the jersey has been shipped back across the Pacific to Bill Henderson, a man considered to be the person with the most comprehensive knowledge of anyone in the world when it comes to MLB jerseys, who runs a business called The Dream Shop (website: https://thedream.shop/ or his Facebook with great photos of some of the jerseys he has modified https://www.facebook.com/gamewornguides/). He has published (and constantly updates when required) a 4000+ page ebook on every teams jersey changes and notes from 1970 to present day.

I sent him this jersey to be named and numbered in the correct font and colors as used by the Australian team during the 2000 Olympics when this jersey was to be used. I could have had it done locally, however there is no way and of it would be accurate at all and being a jersey nerd this wouldn't be good enough for me! Finding some photos taken during Olympic matches on Getty images, I emailed these to Bill and he immediately recognised the font as one used by the Tampa Bay Rays in a TBTC jersey and as such already had a digital version of it to save me some cash on him having to recreate it off the photos.

Yesterday I received the finished job pictures and am extremely impressed! Can't wait to receive it again!

The frequent flyer point you jersey has racked up is also amazing. Made in States, probably sent to Aus for the Olympics, somehow ended up back in the States. Sold on eBay and sent back to Aus. Back to the states for numbering and now back in Aus.

Just picked up my second Swooping Magpie jumper. It's Size XXL but was only $70 so I thought I'd take a swing at it because they don't come around too often. Wasn't as big as I was initially thinking, and will fit quite well with a hoodie underneath.

Where did you get this from? One of my favourite magpies jumpers. I have one from when I was 12 but it doesn’t quite fit anymore. Been looking everywhere for an adult sized one.

1998 away jumper which I got for my 7th birthday and had to get rocking Ronnie Burns on the back, was probably the best day of my young life at the time getting this. Going to be a keepsake and if I have any children in the future it is theirs.

Spent the last half an hour digging through the cupboard to find this as well hah

There's something about the early 2000's and the piping on the collars and cuffs. It just added a level of polish to the already interesting designs of the time, would welcome it back.

Yeah they do add that nice bit of detail, think it worked especially well for the saints around then. Insert "they just don't make em like they used to" quote here haha
