What is your 2nd Favourite AFL club?

I hated Brisbane with a passion after 02-03, but I've mellowed towards them in recent years. And I love watching the Suns. Living in Brisbane, 2 TV games each weekend are taken by the Lions and Suns, so they're hard to avoid. I am fond of them both, but this will end instantly once either of them start beating the Pies on a regular basis.

And we get to watch Paine have a second crack. Rockliff goes alright for a pretty season draft pick. I still have little time for the club for a few reasons though. Not least of all that they've been so poorly run and have treated Fitzroy with disdain. We'll see what happens with a new CEO and coach.

I used to have a soft spot for the tigers as my nan is a supporter and i was a fan of Richo he always seemed to give his all but boy dif he used to spit it however since his departure and Jake king being about i cant say that soft spot still exists go pies

The team I hate the least is probably the Hawks, only because my old man back in the day had a few training runs with them. Possibly could have been put on there list if his father didn't die resulting in him having to go work fulltime to support himself.

Anyone who has a second club is a tool IMO.

You support Collingwood and then its just about which clubs you hate less.

Because life is not just black and white but full of grey. (double meaning unintentional).

To like 1 club and hate 17 is just not rational, nor would it be a particularly practical way of following footy. It is that type of talk that leads to the massive back-and-forth swings we see here after every win or loss, and any "we were robbed", "bias against Collingwood" crap - although in some rare cases there may be an element of truth, in the majority of cases it is not and is rather just how the game flows.

It is great to be passionate, but when the game has finished and it is time to reflect, it is much better to step back and look at the bigger picture without black-and-white coloured glasses.

My wife barracks for Geelong so that is our 2nd team. Our two young ones are both Pies and their mum helped that happen so it is only fair we support her at other times. We are a pretty laid back family so not many fights but both the 2007 prelim and the 2011 granny were the cause of two of the biggest fights - mainly as a result of my carry on. When the Pies play she is almost as passionate as the rest of us.

Most of her family are Pies so a little disappointed she drifted to the Cats but she grew up with hocking etc playing where she grew up and once drafted followed that team.

There are numerous positives of being a Pies supporter but the best one has been getting me across the line with her 2 brothers and her father!!

The good thing about the Cats being our 2nd team is that it has lead to a very exciting time since around 2007 as both teams have been either in a prelim or Grannie during most of that period.

Having said all that, and at the risk of her seeing this, it is the Pies and then the distance of one of those 5000m hurdle races in the middle of winter in England to Geelong.

My second team is hating Carlton. Getting to the stage where I watch Carlton games and go to their matches at times just for the sole reason of the chance to see them lose. Last night was a bummer but the Mon night St K v Carl games in 2012 and 13 were gold. Especially 2012 as the Blues thought they were top 4 material up to that stage.

I hate the no's 70, 79 and 81. The biggest paradox in my life is I want to see Coll beat Carlton in a GF while I want Carlton to suffer at the bottom of the ladder forever.

I like Gold Coast, but I'm not sure if I'll be as partial to them when Ablett retires, I love watching him play.

I don't mind Port, but living down here is an exercise in frustration listening to all these newfound Port supporters talking about how they're on top of the ladder.

Funnily enough so did my old man and so did and my uncle. They didn't pursue because they were both doing apprenticeships and couldn't afford to travel to Melbourne a few times a week.

I dont mind a few of the interstate clubs. Crows and Power I like. Freo and WC I tend to change my "like" year to year... this year I dont overly like either one. Sydney I liked up until the last couple of years. Brisbane I dont like, GC I do. GWS I dont care either way about at this point.

Most of the Melbourne based clubs I'm not overly fond of, though I suppose I have a soft spot for the Doggies :)

If I had to go out and buy a membership for a 2nd team, I guess it would be for the Dogs.

People who say 'my second favourite team is...' invariably don't know anything about footy and shouldn't be associated with.

My aunty said it the other night and you could hear my dad groan in the next room.

My husband barracks for Geelong. They are a great club, and I admire them.

However...I went to the 2011 GF and he didnt. I came home after the loss, said hello, then left to drown my sorrows with Pies friends (been to too many GF wakes:mad:). When I came home later that night, he was asleep, so for revenge I deleted the recording of the game. Didnt want it in the house, and he never bought a copy. We dont discuss it. Did it happen?

Ah distance is the trick. We sat next to each other during 2007 and Granny. Do not recommend. Lucky she takes the high road. I like to think she just isn't as passionate.

Sorry but you are not true collingwood

2nd favorite team.... Pies, 3rd Pies reserves, 4th Pies U18s...

Do have a soft spot for the doggies. Mum played for their women's team, actually went out with Teddy Whiten for a time.

Also had a soft spot for Fitzroy. My father grew up in their zone and there is a strong family following. They also asked him to train with them 1 preseason but he declined as any self respecting Pies supporter should.

North, iv seen them play a lot in Canberra, and have a few friends who go for them, but not in a arrogant way. However, i am very black and white when it come to Collingwood, and I hate them when we play them, just as i do any team.
