Fair enough then- I remember Crawf saying that on the Footy Show once when Delidio's (or was it Goddard's) name came up, but I could be wrong. If he wrote that he supported the Tigers, it must be true.
Yeah who knows, I also think he said his idol was Jack Dyer or something..

As of post 60 this is what I've got down;

Essendon 36
Collingwood 22
Hawthorn 21
Geelong 20
Carlton 16
Richmond 14
Kangaroos 14
West Coast 12
St.Kilda 10
Brisbane Bears/Fitzroy Lions - 9
Adelaide - 9
Western Bulldogs - 8
Melbourne - 6
Sydney - 3
Port Adelaide - 2
Fremantle - 0

I'm probably way off in calculations, but that's a ****load of ex Essendon supporters even if I'm off

I bet they are glad they got recruited ;)

The players playing today are kids of the 80's and early 90's so it makes sense that Essendon and Hawthorn are supported by many more than the average should suggest.
Both teams were not only hugely successful in the 80's, but both teams, Essendon particularly, were the "in" team and people were thus drawn to them.

My favourite one though is:

Brock McLean - refused to barrack for a club, even as a 10 year old, as he didn't want to be "dissapointed when I get drafted" - just the sheer confidence in himself even at 10 years old is just gold.

I find that very hard to believe - Every kid has a team they love. I dont care what he says.
