Okay, given the freakish success of the last two week ends with out Jack and a proper second key forward, have we unearthed a game plan so unorthodox, that it just might work?
I have been thinking about this. Should Jack move to CHF and be that exit kick 70m out from defence and the entry target 60-70m out, leaving Martin, Caddy and Coach to play at FF rotating through with the big blokes Soldo and Nank resting in the pocket?
It makes us bloody hard to match up on, and suits quick ball movement into the forward line and the additional pressure as we lock it in. Thoughts?

Yes, real freakish success against that powerhouse Gold Coast, who'd battle to beat freakin Southport.
Who saw that performance coming?? ;)
Jack is our FF and we stand our best chance of winning against Geelong with Jack at FF.
Might surprise you but we won 11 games with Jack standing at FF.

Come on mate, really? So you're telling me with all your negative diatribe over the last 16 months you would be backing the tigers in to win without Jack? And how did we go backing it up against the hawks? The so called form horse of the comp? You missed that in your neg out bile.

After 11 years, we finally have Geelong covered, but we'll need Jack to do it.
As I posted elsewhere, a back line of Mackie, Taylor, Henderson, Lonergan, Bews and Tuouhy will have trouble keeping up with Butler, Rioli, Castagna and the smarts of Riewoldt.
Selwood is a huge out.
backing what up against the Hawks .... a cheap win against Gold Coast that we would win 99 times out of 100 given they are a rabble.
Do you watch any football other than Richmond????
Did you see how s**tful Gold Coast have been the last month or so. We backed up nothing, we got a win against a team we should have.
Ohh, a lot of my 'negative bile' months ago was directed at the coaching panel and their stupidity and insistence at playing Riewoldt at FF and guess what, they put him back there and he started winning games.
We win one 50-50, or more like 65-35 game against the Hawks and you want him banished from the place he plays his best football.
Why not send Dusty to the HBF too while we're at it? Woops, we tried that before.
Caddy is 100-1 to produce another effort like that this week, and we'll still win.

You are happy to ignore some "inconvenient" truths. Tell you what, how about all you say is "no. leave Jack at FF".

Thought you meant jack graham

Much better thread.

I reckon give Jack one game in the AFL. Unless he totally tears it up, back to the VFL. I reckon that taste would motivate him to be a star in 2018. monster contested beast added to the midfield. I like that thought. Just treat him as a development project, not a savior.

On the other Jack. Play him and let him do pretty much what he wants.

Leave Jack at FF.
No, let's bow to your wishes, I reckon he plays his best football away from FF. How about HBF?

If you actually cared to read the OP, it's a thought piece to discuss. When someone uses words like "should", pretty sure it's an open ended aganda. Read, think, then comment.

XXXX off mate no Back line option

Smart wherever he plays , so many little tap ons or soccer passes to teammates when taking possession is the worst option . After the beating he has copped being the sole key forward this year , these 2 weeks off may freshen him up for a big September

After Rance he is the smartest footballer we have - he can tell Dimma where he's going to play and then build the game plan around that.

Players kinda play everywhere now, I'm not sure this is a huge change from what he's been doing this year or even previously.

I think if you move the ball quickly (or are allowed to as much as the Hawks let us) it doesn't matter who you have down there. We should focus on that and I'm sure Jack can figure out where he's best needed at the time.
