Geelong were unlucky ! If they played again this week they would probably win.How would have Collingwood have gone with Didak and Shaw in the side this year ps they thrashed geelong with those guys in the side?

The AFL changing rules "on the fly" during the season.

First it was the interchange fiasco, which resulted in teams being penalised for having 17 players on the field.......big deal if a player leaves the yellow box 1 second early or enters the ground on the wrong side of the yellow line.

Interestingly teams used to only receive a fine or a warning if a player entered the field outside the interchange area (source: AFL Rules of the Game publication), and this specific infringement is not included in the amended rules that list the infringements that should result in a free kick plus 50m penalty. Therefore when Tim Callan entered the semi final against Sydney outside the line, a free kick should not have been paid, just an infringement notice issued.

Secondly they add an extra boundary umpire, resulting in countless boundary throw ins contested by midfielders.

Yellow post-it notes. It was such a ridiculous 'solution' that I can only assume Anderson and Demetriou were playing a practical joke on us.
