What will collingwood blame next year?

Well being a Bulldog, and being in financial trouble on more than one occasion, Collingwood came to our aide. As much as I hate the team, yes, I would rather play them as our home game to make our club more financial.

As much as you all want to whine about it, for some strapped for cash clubs, we make oursleves a nice little fortune when we have them at our home game.

I know for a fact that teams in vic requested to play them. I also know that this year there was only one or two requests per team on the draw, and the rest was done without any hindrence.

If you want to blame ANYONE for their draw, blame the afl TV rights. As soon as 7 and 10 paid 750 for the tv rights, they were always going to ensure the biggest drawing crowd was going to be centre stage. Remember Eddie isn't involved in 7 or 10.

I just think some of you are barking (woof woof) up the wrong tree here. I'd rather see them play all these home games to help financially the rest of the melbourne clubs, than to see any of them fold.

Could that be a reasonable, balanced post from a non-Collingwood supporter about our draw? Hallelujah! Thankyou,JG.

I think its funny with all this angst towards this great club (damn where is the sarcastic face) we all know when it is all said and done if they win one final let alone a grandfinal (lets face it what are their odds considering their failure to do so over the last 50 odd years) there will always be a whispering campaign about the merit and legitimacy if they actually won something so good luck to eddie and his merry men.

Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
- Mark Twain, US author (1835 - 1910)

I wonder if this applies to many/any collingwood supporters particularly a prominent one.;)

No, I think it's more a case of given the disparity in the respective fixtures/injury lists between the 2 sides this year, most would say ours was a far more commendable effort.

And at least when we get there we're going to give it a legitimate crack. Care to have a wager as to who's going to be in a better position to have a genuine chance at the flag in, say, 2008? No? Didn't think so. :p

So how long have you been saying "When we get there..."???

I must admit the "Come on, we have at least won 1 flag in almost years" is wearing a bit thin...

And by the way you didn't just lose that final, you were comprehensively pumped

Its easy to not list a team isnt it?

Are they that much of an embarrassment?

* The drought
* War in Iraq
* Melbourne's wet winter
* Malthouse's stupid temper
* Rocca still not getting a friggin' touch
* We're missing Chris Tarrant
* Interest rate rise
* Bucks' hammies
* Too many duds like O'Bree that should have gone last year
* Slow midfield
* Medhurst not living up to expectation

This mob will find something!

The Dogs better find some excuses if they cant finish 1st with the draw that dreams are made of, just 3 Interstate away games :eek: Finish the season at home for 8 of the last 9 weeks at the Dump, damn it could not get any easier for the Dogs, guess the AFL have picked them as their new favourite Victorian team

I don't think our draw is as good as yours eddie. Go and have a pull and get over it. You forgot to put your "rolls eyes" smiley in. The smiley they now call "eddie"

Who cares about their draw? They're not a 'feared' team. They can have the softest draw every year but they've missed their window, the lions took care of that.

Next year they'll probably make the eight on the back of it but they'll be out first week. As far as the Tiges go we might be Ninth but it's on merit and at least we know the truth of it.

The draw is a compromised joke, and like a few things uin footy it needs fixing. Its pretty funny to hear these jackals whining about it, as though anybody give a **** what they think.

So many ferals, all singing the same tune. Its like a chorus line at the Richmond Dole office! :thumbsu:

You're all just sore because we pay for the whole fricken show. Just say thank you and then STFU :D

Meh.

If we'ew are good enough, we'll beat 'em. If not, our problem. The rest means little to me. Having a good draw means stuff all in a finals series. If you're not good enough, you're not good enough and to be honest, playing 8000 games at the 'G won't help them when a better footy side rolls them on the same ground in a final.

It's not perfect, it's not an even draw, but as a supporter of a club who plays them round 1 and is looking forward to cash, how can I whinge about it with a straight face?

ok so we get to play at home a lot.Big Deal.What i am concerned about is the last 3 rounds.If we are challenging for a top 8 possie we have a hard run home.Yes we get to play those games in melbourne but if we are playing the likes of Sydney ,melbourne and the crows could be difficult to seciure a top 8 possie if we lose those games.My point is not who you meet at the start of the season but who you play in the end,so from that perspective collingwood will have a hard run home before finals.So the so called draw for the maggies is not as easy as every one is complainig about.

Blow it out your rear. You pay for the whole fricken show? Then you wonder why you're so despised with crap comments like that. You were bankrupt only a few years ago until the AFL started giving you an easy draw and helped you stagger into 2 grand finals in a row.

Of course you dont you stupid troll, why would a draw with the least interstate away games in the entire leage be easy? Why would the draw that lets them end the season at their home ground be easy? Its much easier than the Pies but everyone loves the Dogs :rolleyes:

Just for you :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

There has to be an investigation into the AFL and its bias .We dont have to put up with it .
