What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

Name a couple

Persisting with the referendum when it was DOA 2 months before the vote took place.

Too busy "rescuing" the Bali cohort rather than solving the cost of living crisis. Sure Albo can say he did rebates, but prices still rose to offset those rebates.

He'll claim that HE fixed inflation, when the RBA naturally decides to lower interest rates.

It's going to be single term Albo before long and that's what the inept politician deserves.

You'll have to ask those who are getting polled.

Tbh I'm pretty indifferent, don't think much of him but he isn't actively offensive.

for me, not hearing his voice all the time is what i want in a PM, but that's not everyones gauge.

So he can’t win can he … if he goes off the Airways , he will beck be the “do nothing Albo”…

So delivering a referendum that was promised and voted in by the Voters was a fail?

Bali 9— seriously is this all you’ve got?

He has fixed inflation whilst reducing taxes for everyone and keeping the unemployment level down!!! ✅✅✅

Any others?

Lol Inflation is still inflating and he's not solely responsible for the unemployment rate being down... but he does need to know what the figures are... which he didn't prior to being elected PM.

Get ready for PM Dutton, the winds of change are swirling. Albo, Wong, Marles are going to be voted out swiftly. And justifiably so.

So he is responsible for inflation or not? It was 7% and now it’s 2.8%.

Nice RW response offering no reason to actually vote for Dutton.
If you don't know then I suggest you go to your local pub and ask - not an inner city bar but a proper suburban pub.

There have been numerous media on why Albanese is unpopular and why Dutton is on the rise. It's no use re-litigating them as you will not agree.

This was my original question..

So other than polling? What has Albo done poorly?
This Labor government is probably the most competent and successful government in 20 years.
  • Two budget surpluses
  • Cleaned up Morrison's inflation disaster
  • Cleaned up Morrison's interest rate disaster
  • Reversed Morrison's debt disaster
  • Normalised relations with China and had all Morrison's trade bans removed - all without giving a single inch to China
  • Normalised relations in the Pacific - a massive failure of the Liberals under Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison
  • Reversed the tax cuts for the elite replacing them with a much fairer system where everyone gets a tax cut
  • Started to fix the NDIS which was a shambles under Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison
  • Started to fix the housing crisis which was a shambles under Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison
The fact remains that every time that you ask a Liberal barracker what have the Liberals actually ever done, the only answer is gun laws and GST - which of course was a broken promise notwithstanding it is good policy and had to happen.

Other than those two things, everything other thing the Liberals have done is a cluster****.
  • Workchoices = cluster****
  • Back in black = cluster****
  • Debt and deficit = cluster****
  • NBN = cluster****
  • Snowy 2 = cluster****
  • Robodebt = cluster****
  • Religious Freedoms Bill = cluster****
  • Energy policy = cluster****
  • Stop The Boats = cluster****
  • Knighthoods = cluster****
Simply, the Liberals are 100% incompetent.

The only reason anyone thinks otherwise is because News Corp endlessly overstate Labor's perceived failings - and they are mostly perceived if not entirely made up - and endlessly overlook Liberal failures.

If Uncle Rip dies before the next election and the Murdoch children do override Lachlan, then the Liberal Party is screwed. Even remotely fair political coverage would be the end of that party.

Oh, and I forgot to mention sexual assault and rape.

I have no idea how anyone could support the Liberals.

I don't know how anyone can support either of them.

I also don't know how anyone could think what Labor is doing right now is fixing NDIS or the housing crisis
I said "started" - and yes they are fixing - they have made positive changes that will help create a better system. Could they do more - probably. At least they acknowledge it is a huge problem and are trying to do something.

They 100% have not
NDIS is currently worse for people that need it

They're crowing about savings which is from denying people on the scheme things they need

It's disgusting, so disgusting they had to team up with Pauline Hanson to do it.

They're also doing nothing about housing beyond lining the pockets of developers

The NDIS scheme is being rorted by people similar to the "developers" you rail against. It has to be reformed. I 100% agree that people should get what they need - but that does not mean people get everything they want.

Both the NDIS and public housing should be exactly that - public.

But we live in a "small government" world where apparently the private sector does everything better despite doing almost every single thing the private does worse than they did it 20/30/40 years ago.

They're not making the NDIS public run they're not stopping rorting

They're using that as the excuse to cut billions in support to people and running it like they run jobseeker
