What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

Dutton announced his campaign in Mt Waverley. His main pillars were:

Lower immigration: Mt Waverley Primary and Secondary schools have 70% of homes with LOTE spoken at home
$50k Super for housing for separated mums: A 2br unit in Mt Waverley is $750k, a 3br home is $1.4 million+

Mt Waverley is not the place to launch a campaign against immigration and about housing affordability. And Neighbouring Glen Waverley is 80% LOTE and house prices are 10% more.

If they're so desperate to win Chisholm that they'll take this message and launch it there, they're really battling (Or didn't know the facts on the ground). Would have been wiser to go a bit further east to Aston, in the bible belt, or at least to a different suburb in Chisholm like Holmesglen.

The re-districting of Chisholm might get them over the line, but the message would have been better heard somewhere like Knoxfield or Rowville.

Just like the ‘a vote for teal is a vote for labor/green’ letter drops in kooyong are actually working against them for 40 to 50 percent of the houses.

Ground campaign seems lacking a little

Unfortunately, Labor is hamstrung on that attack line, they can’t be accusing Dutton of following Trump’s strategy of lies and bullshit when Trump is the sitting president of our biggest ally.
Labor don't have to say it when everyone is already thinking it.

Dutton sounds stupid when he supports Trump. Why would the ALP interfere in any of that?

Andy anyone who doesn't think Trump is an idiot was ever going to vote for the ALP.

He is a nasty man and it showed today in some of his interviews.

There is a reason they have hid him over the last two and half years. The mask will continue to slip as he does the campaign trail over the next few months.
Once he gets away from the belly rub environment of Sky and 2GB, he might crack

I’m struggling to imagine a Temu Trump when the Don is already the lowest rent piece of human trash ever to infect politics.

How have we in Australia come to a place where the strategy of a fetid sewer like Trump, which is literally the oldest and most morally repugnant play in the book (demonizing the other & playing the patriot card) is considered by presumably sentient political advisors to be half a chance?

yep! and what a crappy venue with such a relatively small group of reactionaries.
