What would a good 2008 look like for Rioli?

I think the club will be trying to hold him back a bit. Has anyone seen a guy go harder at the pill and in his chasing and forward pressure? I haven't.

This makes me think the club will need to keep a leash on Rissole because he is an absolute gun and has already shown freakish hardness and leadership.

I'm gonna say this until it becomes boring, and then a bit more. How did we get him at our Pick? Are the recruiters jokes or what?

Go Pelchin and Bucky !!!
Happy with my prediction :)

When I think of a young Cyril Rioli, I recall a Hawthorn mate of mine sending me a link to highlights of Rioli playing at school. My mate said, "This is a guy the club rates highly and is hoping to draft him".

I eagerly opened the link and I saw a fat indigenous player jogging around the field and thought "This has to be a joke, surely". Then I spotted another player who was pure silk, it was Cyril. Got my hopes up and happily we managed to snare him. The rest is history.
Mate of mine coached against him at school and said later he was a freak then and couldn't believe we got him pick 12.

This sounds a bit weird but Cyril is almost the template player for the modern Hawthorn player and I wonder whether Clarko has tried to instill Cyril-ness throughout the team. A manic must-get-the-ball-get-the-ball-forward-first-second-third-attempts-tackle-awesome-groundwork-teamwork(!!!) etc etc

There is only one Cyril but I can see his influence in a number of other players and maybe even a bit of it in the way Clarko coaches - this might actually be the best thing about Cyril - Cyrilness!!!

Oppo fans who say he is over-rated are either jealous, jaded or dumb. He seriously looks like he has the ball on a string and he is the best tackler I've seen

One of the great blessings we had was the period where he and Buddy played together - 'ken freaks

Er, check thread title then respond.

Cyril Rioli did not play at Box Hill in 2008.

Further to this, he only played in the 2014 Box Hill GF to get him a hit out before they picked him the following week.

Had Box Hill not played off in the big one, Rioli would have been selected anyway.
