88 Pansonic Cup Night Grand Final against Hawthorn and then the wetest game I've ever been to against Footscray the same year at the Whitten Oval (I've forgotton what the ovals real name is). Boy that game was wet.
Don't forget how much fun it was to see 4 losing day Grand Finals plus 3 losing night Grand Finals (1988, 1989, 1997) in that period too. Barrel of laughs all around.
1963 or 1964 - Cats V Dons at Kardinia Park
Came down by train , pissing with rain all day , sat 1st row under a clear plastic sheet - still remember the sound the rain made on it.
Can't remember who won but can remember my Grandad being very happy , so probably us.
Off for a lie down now...........so tired
Saw every minute of all three games.
True, but I wouldn't give them up in a million years if the alternative was that we were just going to be an average unremarkable side. 89 is still my favourite season of football despite the recent premierships. A team wins the premiership every year. Geelong fans got to watch an individual performance that only comes around once every 50 years or so in 89.Don't forget how much fun it was to see 4 losing day Grand Finals plus 3 losing night Grand Finals (1988, 1989, 1997) in that period too. Ha.My matchwas when Riccardi kicked that winning goal against Carlton. I've will never forget that day in my footy life.

I only remember my dad and his friends and his friends hugging me and giving me high fives. I remember that people were jumping up and down and cheering like crazy. Anyway I was only a 3 year old and I don't think you would of hugged a 3 year old .Did I hug you that day?
Did an awful lot of Catfan hugging after Ricco got that goal, anybody & everybody in sight that was Geelong was doing the same.

1993, Essendon v Geelong MCG.
I clearly remember almost not going with my parents that day, but at the last second changing my mind. I remember walking up the steps into the Olympic Stand for the first time, seeing Ablett kick 14 in a losing side, and I remember telling my mum we would be going to the footy every week from now on.
Haha LMFAOI threw a 10 year old in the after the siren in the 2009 Grand Final. He didn't seem to mind, and neither did his Mum.
I think we have discussed this before but this was also my first live cats game and I was also up top of the olympic stand!!
My first live game of footy was out at Windy Hill about 1987 watching Essendon Vs Swans (Capper!!!)
I also vividly remember watching the 1988 GF on tv
