During the third quarter Garry Lyon said that Bode was having a good year.

Pig's arse he has.

I know he had a length layoff with injury early in the season and was sick last weekend, but he should be fully fit by now. His form has totally deserted him and its very disappointing from a player who was a revelation last year. In 2002 he was brilliant with the amount of ball he won. This season he struggles to get 10 touches a match.

And I think his confidence has deserted him too. One bit of play that really got me annoyed was when Bode marked in the forward line, about 40m out but with an angle better than 45%. Very kickable goal. But what does he do? He centres the ball and a turnover results. Last year he would've gone back and slotted those. Why not this year?

Previously I considered Bode a walk up start to our side. Now I'm not so sure.

I'm not really sure, but I think he's better starting the match in the middle and getting right in there straight away....he certainly hasn't been performing well off the bench and struggles to get into it.....it's just hard to find him time on the park with our midfield rotation, or so it would seem.

And that pass that was cut off, completely a confidence thing, but at least he slotted that running goal just before 3 quarter time.

I think we have to persevere with him, there are a few pieces of deadwood in the team that need to be taken out first to fit in possibly Welsh, Stevens, Hart, Ladhams, Stinger and Massie.

Spot on. He is much better when he starts. He is one of the fittest boys in the club so why the hell is he not spending at least 3 quarters on the ground??????

Ever since we strated this rotation with him and Bickley, Bode's form has gone down the hill.

It's worked for Bickley, but at Bode's expense. Bode is a worker who needs plenty of action to get into the game. His game last night got better as the game wore on.

He needs a full game to return to his best form.

Exactly, give him a full-game, even if it means rotating Roo, Macca, etc through the bench for parts of the game. Also, after chasing Bucks last night, I reckon Shirley could do with lesser minutes against the Roos to freshen up.

I reckon Shirley will get the job on Harvey
Edwards could do the job with a midfield/backline rotation.

Bodey appears to be playing better now he has got rid of the shocking haircut!
