Only been to Melbourne and Christchurch. I'd choose Christchurch

Only other place in Australia that interests me would be Tasmania maybe Darwin.

No, what I meant was that destinations would be easily enough to dox me.

I appreciate that's your kink, but my privacy is important for my life and work :)
I couldn’t care less what others think lol. Like I said most of my trips have been to support the Lions away. That includes the New Zealand one!

Ill be sure to pop in for a latte next time i take the family to Iran
Khomeni is not sure whether he likes this

Really enjoyed Tassie as a kid. Went there on the Spirit of Tasmania with my father and brother, and we drove around the island for 2 weeks, staying in a different town each night. Beautiful part of the world. There was a bit of a time warp vibe though due to the sites of historical interest (history is a passion of mine, and was actually my first uni degree), such as in places like Port Arthur (made sure to see the memorial), Eaglehawk Neck, George Town, and lots of Hobart. Even some of the places around the isle we stayed in were a little different (one of them had some arcade games from the 70s and 80s...I tried to play, but very different to what I'm used to).

We got caught up in the Targa Rally at some point. The old man's beat up Subaru probably looked like a rally car, lol. I remember driving past a primary school, with all the kids pressed against the fence cheering us all on.

I'd found a brochure for some pancake place, and insisted we go. It was well out of the way, but after eating there no one was complaining about the detour. There was also a takeaway, I think it was on the west coast (maybe Zeehan) where the owner told us his burgers were world class. They dead set were.

The thing is, with those childhood trips what makes them special is not just where you go, but who you go with. My father died young (the day before he would've turned 51), and always wanted to go back, to have that time of his life again.

And now it's all passed.

vietnam when i was 11 or 12 was an enlightening experience for young me. profoundly beautiful country with a deeply scarred past. north and south were stunningly amazing and likely instilled my love of history in me. i'm planning on visiting again soon.

Damn, they really drafted them young.

Lest we forget!

In Australia it’s Darwin. I’d move there tomorrow but the flights back to Perth are at shithouse times.
Maybe one day.
Bloody horrible in the wet season though.

I used to go up there every 6 weeks with work (for 10 years). The dry season was excellent, the wet season was horrible (my job meant I was outside most of the day).

Used to venture down to Mitchell Street for a few (plenty) of beers and a feed. Watching the people go by was interesting and frightening at times.

Wet season is best for fishing if you are into that. If you can stand the humidity...

Hahaha **** imagine booking September holidays like you do every year as Richmond supporter only for it to be the year you actually win for the first time in nearly 4 decades :$
Its okay as a Richmond supporter you are still likely to be okay for a flag the next year anyway.

What would be bad is cancelling your long awaited holidays booked during the last week of September as the Cats are in the finals and looking a good thing, only to realise that they're playing Richmond.:$

My sister, brother in-law, the misses and me did a 4 day personalised tour of the Western Front battlefields of WW1 last year (Belgium and France).

Absolutely awesome. Very, very emotional.

35,000 Australians KIA. When you see the ages of the Aussie killed (18, 19, 21, 22 etc) its so sad.

There's 900 cemeteries over there which are all immaculately kept and maintained. We visited Tyne Cot cemetery which has 15,000 graves and 35,000 names of all the Australians killed. Amazing to see it.

The Brother in law's great great uncle was KIA and through the tour group and the National Archives, we were able to find his grave. We all lost it.

We visited a pub for lunch in Bullecourt. "Remember the ANZACS" signs all along the street and on the buildings. When the lady behind the bar became aware that we were from Australia, she did not let us buy any drinks. They were all on the house.

If anyone on here has ever thought about going, I absolutely recommend it.

Been to many countries but this experience was the best.

I have always wanted to visit Auschwitz or any other concentration camp with a girlfriend late at night and have inappropriate sex there :$

Reckon it would be a pretty thrilling experience myself !

Geezus do you ever do anything but have a dig? Grow up you of the forked tongue.

You boasted about the places you’ve supposedly visited while you tried to ridicule me for not having travelled. I held my tongue until now. You’ve got a bit of egg on your face now. Make a constructive contribution or just zip it

The rooms with all the pairs of glasses, shoes and other personal items from the victims is heartbreaking. Photos of kids heading to the chambers with no idea what was about to happen. Evil ****s
