Don't mind it. Looks like they avoided armor (probably due to cost/time/pain in the arse), for every day use. Still makes clear they are part of the white cloaks. Can armor them up if an actual battle.

Oh is it incorrect? That’s how I’ve always pronounced it.Interesting the way Pike pronounced 'Tar Valon'
I think that was more in the vein of we don’t know where, as in they don’t know where the dragon is. Even in the books they had no idea where the dragon was. Remember in the first few books fair haired males of a certain age were getting murdered all over.Did she say that "we don't know where" he was born? They knew that he would be born on Dragonmount, from prophecy.
Audiobooks pronounce Tar Var-lon, but who knows...Oh is it incorrect? That’s how I’ve always pronounced it.
Hahaha yeah. Some of the pronunciations in the audiobooks are odd. Like how they pronounce Moghedian (I’m sure I’ve spelt that wrong) about 3 different times.Audiobooks pronounce Tar Var-lon, but who knows...
Eye of the World is getting a new reading done by Rosamund Pike, so we’ll see how she goes.Getting the pronunciations wrong is poor form in an audio book considering the books come with a pronunciation guide.
I think they’re worried it’s going to change the narrative of the story too much.I don't get how the whole boy/girl thing is putting people off. It is obviously just a misdirection for those unfamiliar with the story.
