Was a bit ambivalent about him when he came to us but he certainly won me over - and I can see why he was such a well liked bloke at your place for so long - even if he did miss set shots every now and again.

And he made an invaluable contribution to our club in the 3 seasons he was there - netting his 4th Flag and a Norm in the process.

Im not sure where he goes from here but I can assure you he has a home at Glenferrie and Geelong if he ever chooses to return to either.

You blokes did very well with him early and we did the same at the end.
Cheers to Izzy.

Hi all, not sure if this thread is the right place for this, but just sharing that Isaac Smith has just announced his retirement at the end of the season.

You obviously got the bulk of his stellar career but we will forever remember his 2022 GF - one of the best modern day wings!

Disappointed when he left but never stopped disliking the guy nor appreciating his talents.
Go well Isaac.

A former AFL and NRL-listed player has been arrested over an alleged assault after a Victorian amateur football match on Saturday.

Shem Tatupu, a former Hawthorn rookie and Frankston VFL player, was arrested at Waverley Oval in East Malvern over an incident that followed a finals clash between Elsternwick and Hawthorn in the Division 3 section of the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

Did he eat the other player too?

Genuinely shocked News.com.au didn’t run with “Hawthorn Legend” in the headline…

What the * does that even mean?

He's a South Australian Senator and Adelaide Crows ambassador - dare say he jumped off us once the Crows got admitted.

Don Farrell is an A-grade campaigner so his team-swapping and antics with Dermie are not at all surprising.

Correct, having grown up in Adelaide around the time the Crows were admitted it wasn't all too uncommon to know a former <insert VFL/AFL team here> supporter. In saying that I only ever met one former Hawk supporter.
