I have gone with 5-8, a good season with injuries will see us finish closer to 1-4, i think the cats are the only team with a better list than ours

take a closer look, i think you'll find theres more than 1 team better - Geelong, Hawthorn, Port, St.Kilda, West Coast, Bulldogs, Kangas. 8-11 finish for u guys...

Liam Pickering is also the diiot that tipped us fro the wooden spoon for season 2007!:thumbsdown:

You only have to listen to Liam Pickering for 10 seconds to work out he's no idiot. Show a bit of respect. He certainly wasn't alone in thinking we'd have an ordinary year.

Yes, I agree. He is not an idiot. Did he say why he thought so?
I saw him say it on fox league teams say it and from memory I think he said suspect defence and 'it has to be someone' IIRC. Not the strongest reasons but also not unfounded...

He does have a point, our defence needs to step up for us to finish top 8. Merrett holds down FB, but CHB remains a problem, as Drummond is better on the flank I reckon. Maybe Brennan goes back, or Bradshaw. Drive out of the backline was a huge issue this year.

I am not the biggest Liam Pickering fan, he made some statements on Fox League Teams this year about us that would indicate he doesn't really know too much about us.

That said, he talked up Leuenberger as the second coming of Christ, so he can't be all that bad. :thumbsu:

Hi all... i know this is only for Brisbane Supporters but I wouldnt mind putting my 2 cents in.

Despite the pain i went through as a Collingwood Supporter in 2002-3, i still appreciate Brisbane. They play an exciting brand of footy, and J Brown is clearly the best player in the league, and I have paid money just to watch him play.

With a lot of your young guys coming through, notably Adock, Leunberger and Sherman (i think he had a terribly injury and confidence interrupted year) coupled with Mid age experience in Charman, Brown, Black, Power etc... i think Brisbane could make another premiership assault in the next year or 2.

I think that Travis Johnstone will be invaluable to your team and I can see 5-8 as being very realistic. However, depending on how Bradshaw pulls up this year, i wouldnt be suprised to see the Lions in the top 4.

Wishing you all the best in 08' and hopefully not another smashing for us at the MCG.

Cheers,

TT

If Leuey is the second coming, we won't need to worry about anything, unless, of course, you're a heathen non-believer.

Who the hell voted 9-12? Yee of little faith!

ah that would be me:cool:

just thinkn a few key injuries could seriously derail us. and i hate to say it but our injury luck is not the best...pls don't shoot me:D

of course i hope we win the premiership - killing port by 120pts - payback for 04:p

It's okay I won't shoot you!

Everyone is entitled to their opion, doesn't mean it's right though!:p

Said 1-4. As opposed to previous years, I'm shamefully optimistic about putting in a good show this year. I think a lot will start to come together. Ask me in another month and I'll probably say different.

What he said.....

Getting off to a flyer will do wonders for the confidence of players and supporters alike...
