Which Former Hack Will Finally Earn Respect in 2011?

Hardly a hack. Had a good 2010.

I agree that he had a good 2010 (for the games that he played) but definitely still cops it from some. Should build on that this year. As for the bloke who said Tom Murphy, similar boat to Bradley. Had a good 2010, has already won back a lot of respect with Hawks supporters.

As for Kozi and the 2001 Rising Star, it certainly was a weak group. Look at 1993 for a comparison :eek::eek:

Will Minson

Will fight and take back the number 2 ruck spot from Jordan Roughead, becoming dangerous when shifting forward, kicking 2 goals a game.

Title of the thread says "former hack".

Will Minson is still a hack, has always been a hack, and will always be a hack.

He can continue fist pumping at goals when his team is 10 goals down with 5 minutes to go, in VFL finals this year.

Actually, he's probably the type of player who will get killed off by this new substitution rule i reckon.

I think Port should have traded for him during the recent trade period - especially since Brogan is our only AFL standard ruckman at the moment and he's close to the end (30 something now). Minson is only 25 so he would fill the gap nicely i reckon whilst our youngsters develop. We're screwed if Brogan goes down.

Perhaps the thing that counted against him was that incident with Kane Cornes a few years ago?? Probably didnt reflect greatly upon his character.

Tom LONERGAN

If not a hack, certainly maligned.
IMO, will become our best defender and occasionally go forward and kick goals again.
Has the perfect physique to play key positions.

Tyrone Vickery will have a good year, his put some size on and has showed a lot during pre-season

Sheesh, he's still just a kid. No one is calling him a hack yet, and if they are, they are awful judges of player development.

Big blokes always take time and Tyrone was never going to be the exception. He was only drafted a couple of years ago.

Not as long as Taylor, Scarlett and Enright are back there, and they've got a few years in them yet.

You already tried him forward and it didn't work.

I think it will be Staker from the Lions.

I always thought he was a good player, but frustratingly inconsistent. Had a good season last year.

Was harsh for him to be put in with some of 'Crazy' Vossy's other moves last year, as he was one guy that repaid the faith.

I don't know that they are/were hacks but my two nominations are Jason Winderlich and Ricky Dyson. I really rate Winderlich, hes a good ordinary player at the moment but i think he will take himself to a very high standard in 2011.

What? He's got an amazing kick. Not being able to cope with pressure is his issue.

He may have a big kick, but his inability to deal with pressure means his kick hardly hits a target.

No side is immune to it:
See Simon Buckley and Travis Cloke
