Dayne Beams - purely because of the selfish nature of whats occured in the last 12 months. And that is no-way taking away from genuine mental health issues.

From a pure footy perspective only, Dayne Beams would have to be ours as well. Only player to pull the "homesickness" card twice.

Heard shit things about Micky Turner as well, and Paul Chapman once thumped a young woman outside a Geelong nightclub.

The propensity of Cats fans to gloss over/ignore the scully acts several of their champions have done (esp Ablett Snr) staggers me.

Very harsh on both.

Libba was an on baller who got hammered by all and sundry for the first 75% of his career. Never complained. Then Wallace decided he would be cut from the list and Libba did whatever was required to stay in the team. Last few years of his career were not pretty. He is not the only player in AFL/VFL history to use underhand tactics, far from it. I personally am not ashamed of him at all, he is a great story of persistence, determination and self belief. He got everything possible out of himself and bled for the dogs.
Whitten was surely a tough player, but a product of his era, no worse or better than most greats of the 50's and 60's. Also well known for doing good things around the western suburbs. Totally disagree with this comment about him.

Libba was a grub. His on field acts make toby Greene look amateur

1. Andrew Lovett. As previously alluded to, was moved on by Essendon for numerous failings, including being an A-grade POS to his girlfriend. The reasons for his departure were not exactly a state secret, but the Saints took him in. Or at least they did for a year until he was charged with rape.

2. Michael Gardiner. Controversy-magnet at the Eagles at the height of the 'drug culture' era. Well-known for keeping dubious company in the local Perth Motorcycle Enthusiast fraternity and the Unregulated Pharmaceuticals industry. Was the first to be moved on when the club started a clean-out, but the Saints took him in. When he continued to keep questionable company in Melbourne the club said it didn't care.

3. One, possibly two, key players accused of rape but still kept on. Allegations that the club and certain members of the police tried to pull strings to 'make it go away'. After a decade of controversy, the rape charges are dropped but Milne pleads guilty to the 'lesser charge' of indecent assault, in a possible plea-bargain.

4. And, meanwhile, whilst much of this was happening, the president of the club was a self-confessed coke head, who says "he never saw cocaine until he joined St Kilda."

This has been mentioned in another thread, but running yourself into exhaustion is a form of courage in its own right. It's hilarious to me that simply because that form of courage is bruise free that it makes supporters hate their own players.
If you have a team of inside players you'll be killed on the outside and vice versa. It takes all sorts.

Would much rather Andrew Gaff in my side than Cam Ellis-Yolmen for example.
