Which player will be the "should have retired last season" player this year?

I reckon expectations on Pav will be way down. Should chip in a couple of goals a game with the understanding that he won't be going much further than the forward 50 at all times.

Pav would've retired if the club wasn't a chance for the flag.
McPharlin retired with his chances for a flag...

Judd, Fletcher, Kernahan and Diesel all went out on a low after thinking they had something to play for.

Ultimate verdict? Pavlich (as much as we love him) and Winderlich seem the obvious ones at this stage. Just never got going.

I'm confused. So Pavlich should have retired at the end of 2014, but will be valuable in 2016? Surely he was pretty valuable in 2015 going by that criteria!

People saying Pav is selfish and should have retired are really missing the point. He was basically begged to play for another year by the administration, coach, president, and supporters. We are still in a premiership window (at least the club thinks so) He will draw the best defender, and he kicked 40 goals last year, but, most importantly, he is still our best bloody tall forward.

Stevie J.
Scott Thompson.
Ted Richards.
Bob Murphy.
Aaron Sandilands.
Brendan Goddard (maybe).
Drew Petrie.

I think you've misunderstood me. Pavlich the mercurial key forward went on one season too long. Pavlich the role-playing forward target still has another season in him. He won't be the same player as he was 2014 and before, but he's still talented enough to put in a shift.

I think Brent Harvey. Will get a few niggles in pre-season and will struggle to overcome them. Will probably get nursed through to the games record then retire
We get it. You hate North.

Wishing that he gets injured in the pre-season.... stay classy.
