Which player will be the "should have retired last season" player this year?

We are going to finish bottom anyway - so it probably doesn't matter- but I think Adan Schneider should have hung them up last year. He is clever but basically cant run at all. Probably should have had a kick with his mates in the country.

Sam Fisher, Sean Dempster and even Joey Montagna are also in danger of having the game pass them by pretty soon.

Which is funny because he looked about 10% the player he was 5-6 years ago.

That's overstating it, but I don't really know why people expect him to still be at his best at his age, anyway, especially with all the miles he has on his body. He's clearly on the downside of his career, but can still be a very good and impactful player.

Goodes and Petrie for me. I though both of them were done at various points last year and I doubt an additional 12 months will help them a great deal.

You wouldn't say that if you had to watch Pears week in week out. The argument against Fletcher is if he retired then Carlisle would play back and therefore Fletcher may be harming Carlisle's development. But last year the team was clearly better with Fletcher and Carlisle both in the team due to a lack of suitable options up forward.

Lucky petrie came back from the brink of retirement to sink your lot then isn't it?

Judd was very good.

He lifts under pressure, is a stoppage beast, and still has pace to burn. He attacks with the ball, and creates scoring chains which Cotchin needs to do.
Still clearly best 22 for the Blues, but he didn't have the impact he normally has against us last night and looks to have dropped his lofty standards back to the pack a bit. Hard to tell off 1 game but I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last season.

Judd. He played on hoping for team success, but who is he trying to kid? This year will be a complete, utter waste of time.

Looked to be lacking pace...maybe age catching up or playing against athletes.. His biggest weapon (as great as he was/is) was is burst speed from a contest, couldn't break the lines. Running on spot as in on a treadmill, putting the strides in but covering little ground.
