Hate to say this but if we go to a different app, I’m out. Does my head in. Hated using slack in a past league. It’s obviously ok if the league is run on there but in this case it isn’t and if it was, i'd be out.

Outside of maybe short term use of WhatsApp to notify someone when they are up, i’m strongly against it.
 
I’m not receiving notifications but I’ve been checking in every few hours. I’m eager to get through the draft.

Just FYI to guys who are new to BF up top there is an option that says watch thread or unwatch thread. Click that and you will receive the option to get notifications via email or just notifications in bigfooty. While the draft is on I would recommend choosing the email option if you have your email synced with your phone.
 
Just realised flaps hasnt been on since Monday too and hes next up. I think i might have his phone number though so gonna try and get on to him. Meanwhile, im having a really tough time splitting 2 guys for this pick, i was hoping my decision would be made for me but not to be, so i may take a while here but with neither of the next 2 coaches aware the draft is on, not feeling inclined to rush the pick, at least til i here from flaps.

Edit. I do have flaps' number so ill get onto him there and let him know weve started and hopefully he should be right to show up

Lamelo off the board now is such good value if he gets his body right. Man I had a hard time splitting SGA and Lamelo and kinda have some slight regret i didnt take him lol. Just such nice bulk stats even if his injury history is a worry and his fg% needs to rise a lil.

Noooooo Chet :( All the good young guys coming off the board super fast, bit sad lol. Shouldve just made a 1 team league so i could take all the players i want. :tearsofjoy::sweatsmile:

Good progress today guys crushing it, id start planning my pick but i know the next 6 targets will get sniped lol :D

i mean its not really old at all and it depends on the player. If you drafted Lebron at 28 you got 11 years of a 1-2 round player though of course he is an extreme case and the best career of all time. Just depends if you're trying to win now, win later or a mix of both. The upside with picking youth is if you dont nail the draft you have time to fix your team and if you nail it you can contend for a decade. On the other hand, it appears age is being focused on so much that the first few titles may well go to teams that do indeed pick the older guys and last i checked a title next year and a title in 4 years are both equally good! So many top 10-20 guys in redraft leagues still on the board...

I actually weirdly really enjoy picking young guys and watching them develop (By the look of the 1st 2 rounds im not alone there) and kinda prefer the challenge of rebuilding rather than contending but you gotta do what your roster tells you to do in a way. In my H2H league ive wanted to rebuild for 3 years but because Lebron and CP3 have had such good longevity ive had to keep retooling to contend and somehow snagged a 2nd title last year. (Sorry Bugsy Mogues :p ) Looking forward to rebuilding in 2025 though lol. This last bit was totally not relevant at all and was mostly just a lil cheap brag coz i pinched a title from Bugs and Dutchy :D .

When I spent my entire morning deliberating and had settled on Bam coz he belongs in South Beach and is a Squirrel at heart with Squirrel toughness and culture and then Flaps takes him, now i gotta rethink it all sigh.
