I agree with Calthorpe, also consider Mick Martin, Martin McKinnon and Stefan Carey. What shocking pick ups they were!

Back in the Roy days a little kid called Matthew Dundas. Seemed like every kick was off the side of his boot and today in my family, when we see a shocking kick we say "oh look a Dundas kick".

I started to have a go at naming an 18 for this but it was too hard. The problem is, the guys that probably deserve to go into the side based on performance barely got a go in the seniors. I am thinking of young guys who spent only a little bit of time on the list - or, worse, rookies who have the odds stacked up against them from the time they arrive. They aren't the players that we think of when we recall our worst players. The only ones that stand out are guys like Carey, Calthorpe etc who came to us with a reputation and failed to kick on.

I mean, a guy like Luke Forsythe would be on the bottom of the ladder as far as contribution on field with the Lions and yet the poor guy was incredibly unlucky.

but to be fair his team only won 4 games from 1994 to 1996, not surprising he didnt reach great heights in those years why do you say that?

Probably more just the frustration at the trade, who we lost...

But I would say that a fair share of those that were watching in the outer at the time had a dislike for the one called "Ogg ogg ogg"

There were far worse than Jeff Hogg for mine. Hoggy played 40 games out of a possible 66 for the Roys and kicked 41 goals. Of course his output was considerably less than what he produced at Richmond, but as has already been pointed out the delivery to him at Fitzroy was much worse.

I saw a couple of good games from him, including a game against Hawthorn in '94 where he kicked 3 goals and found the ball about 20 odd times. He bagged 5 goals in a game for us once too (against the Bears!)

Scott Bamford
Shane Morrison
Llane Spaandermann
David Calthorpe
Damian Cupido

And for those who have put Hueskes down on this thread  ...........if his head off the field was as good on it he would now be the back pocket in 3 x premiership teams ;)

That was me, I put my hand up, from my POV, any player that is worth their salt should be as good off the field as on it or they don't deserve to wear the jumper.

Jason Millar.

Can't believe that anyone is suggesting McLaren in a worst 22. Honest player who never gave up. Won us a game against Melbourne a few years back. May not have been as good as others on the list, but he was always there when needed.
