This would be one of grahams. You've gotta laught at Tony Shaw's claim of 105m.

Haha that's absolute madness!

On an earlier post, there's no way Wirrpunda can kick 65m. Hurn and Lynch are easily the biggest kicks at the club. Hurn doesn't demonstrate it a whole lot on the field, but watching the Eagles warm-up prior to a match he shows it quite often. Towards the end of the warm-up, he bombs a couple of balls long towards the interchange bench just before the team gets into a huddle. Those kicks would often be 65m+.

Brendan Goddard absolutely. Kicked an unbelievably and insanely underrated torpedo goal from 60m out at subi some time back that sailed through post height and landed about 25m beyond the posts. You will not see a ball move more quicker in the air again, the most crispest torpedo ever.

A heap of players would definitely be capable of kicking 60-65m with a low, flat drop punt in general play and you see it often. It's when they try and torp it that it gets more elevation than length.

For the Hawks, I have seen on the run kicks that long by Hodge and Dew.

From a mark I have seen Trent Croad do it, but that was years ago.

Are you thinking of the same one I am ... PF 2001 last quarter? Kicked it from inside the centre square and hit the goal post half way up. Croad is another who's often overlooked in these type of threads, when he should be right up there. Particularly, as you say, from set shots.

Rhett Biglands would occasionally panic and unleash massive torps that'd go to nobody in particular back before he did his knee. He WAS capable of kicking it 65+. After two knee recos in a row though, we've probably seen the last of that (and him).

Can't remember against which team but Matthew Robran launched a massive torpedo for goal from the centre square in 2001 at Footy Park? He certainly could kick a monster ball, but I guess that comes with being 9 foot 100.

No player can match Lynchy when he times them sweetly. The drop punt against North looks effortless!
