When a Freo another player marks inside 50, McPharlin whacks his arms into his side.
When McPharlin takes a mark inside 50, he turns around straight away and walks back. He never looks for another option.
After training, McPharlin is always the first Docker to ignore signing autographs.

If Parker and Haddrill can manage to hold down CHB and FB, it allows McPharlin to free himself up by going forward, where he will take the second tall forward (Pavlich the first). Watching from close quarters during their round six clash with the Demons from the PRE Pocket, he showcased all his ability - great leap, mark and that x-factor which wins games. Superstar in the making. Needs to take that next step.

PS I base a lot of my freo tipping in 50/50 games on wether he is in or not
The Old Dark Navy's said:Can play any key position. That's a rare commodity. A good player who is a bit like Kouta in that he will probably never be recognised for his full talent because of injury.
I understand he has lots of time left but really Kouta has only lost a couple of seasons as well. Problem is they came when he was at his peak and as such his legacy has diminished because he didn't have a sustained peak like other top line stars. I think Kouta is still considered one of the most talented players in the competition's history (regardless of contract amounts) but he didn't show it for long enough to be put at the very top echelon. I reckon that McPharlin has the tools to reach Kouta's heights so it is still a fairly high praise. People mistakingly claim that Kouta was a one season wonder but then they all claim different years in doing so which goes to show that he has had several high quality seasons in his career.ImperialPurple said:He just turned 24 on the weekend - he has a lot of footy ahead of him. In the last 2 seasons, he's only missed 3 weeks because of soft tissue injuries. Broken collarbone kept him out for 6 weeks in 2004, but that was from being crash tackled and that could happen to anyone who isn't even "injury prone".

Geoff said:It wouldn't be he has other important things in his life such as Uni, Study etc. He's not your normal West Coast hic who seeks the lime light as a calander boy. The guy has inteligence and sees something other selling cars at the end of his footy career. Lukie a full preseason and an injury free year? I'd like to see that !!
Once a week actually, but not in the last two weeks. I don't think 'uncle' is too foreign..? Maybe down at Freo.Moo said:As to the autograph thang ...I have Lukey boys autograph ...guess he forgot to live up to your neighbours friends accountants view that day.
