I'll go because I have a 2 and a half year old who's just starting to get into footy, and I enjoy it being a family thing with my parents, especially after my dad had cancer 2 years ago.

But I also totally understand why some people have had enough and have elected not to renew their memberships. When you get games like last night, even the most one-eyed fans will wonder "why do I put up with this crap?"

I contacted the club and said don't renew my two GA memberships. Yesterday got their letter saying my two GA's will be renewed 10/10. So emailed them again saying please don't bother.

I have been going since the 1980's. Rusted on but I have been wanting a change of senior coach since the threat to walk to the Gold Coast. Big Bob would have called a taxi to take him to the railway station to catch The Overland. Make your own way to the Gold Coast from there.

It is one of the few things my 21 year old daughter and I still do together. I will hold payment to the last minute. Pity the board did not wait until the finish of last season.

I spent a small fortune on a brand new bike in July and that's taking up nearly all my spare time. Currently sitting on 9,200 km's x 175,000 metres of vertical for the year. Should comfortably hit 13,000km x 250,000m by years end.

Haha, have heard that. Apparently, it's an urban legend. Some attribute it to his quote about auditioning for Batman:

"To be perfectly honest, I didn't even know what I was trying out for. The producers didn't tell me. I remember that I went in for my screen test and two guys pulled off my pants and pulled on these leotards. I was afraid I was auditioning for a porno flick."

Ol' Burt married into a minted family so he was never hard up (no pun intended) when the roles stopped coming in. However, his nickname was "Thrasher" back in the day. Coz he banged so many Bat-groupies. I'm sure there's some 8mm home movies at least, lol...
