I'll start with the Key Defenders

Safe : Rance, Grimes and Moore(Only to see what he can add when fit) Astbury

Probably Safe: McGuane and Thursty
It's hard to read those 2, I think Thursty adds more and we should keep him. The fact we keep playing these guys now I think means that they will be kept and we are trying to gel them all together , those 2 would have little trade value so no point playing them to gain trade value.

Gone: Post- if he can't get a game in how we currently are and is getting overlooked for McGuane and Thursty Id say he is gone. I'd back the coaching staff views on him over guys on big Footy. They don't see things that some supporters do ( I'm one of those who think he's done nothing to prove he deserves to stay, too slow, and I think he's a poor shot at goal to play upfront)

Gourdis : so gone it's not funny

Anyone want to have a go at mids/ rucks/ key forwards and small backs/forwards

safe: rance, grimes, astbury, post
probably safe: mcguane
on the trade table: thursfield, moore
probably in some trouble: gourdis

Pretty obvious we need more height and weight than Thursfield and Moore so we really should be looking at trading these two.

Gourdis is a good size but will he be given one more year considering he doesn't get many opportunities? Is athletic but not sure about his kicking and composure.

Grimes, Rance and Astbury are the safest and I'd say Post will finally get proper opportunity over the last 5 games this year to play sereral games in a row instead of 1 week in and 1 week out even when he doesn't play bad at all. He has the height, leap and composure to make a good tall defender and is reasonably good on both feet. I'm very sure Dimma has Post in his future plans and is taking it slowly with him to make him a more attacking player.

I'd be surprised if Thursy's there next season. Not convinced the Goo is gone yet. As a big fella not sure what will happen with post. He just doen't seem at home at RFC.

Safest- Grimes
Safe- Rance, Astbury, Moore
On the way to gone- Mcguane, Thursfield
Gone- Gourdis, Post, farmer

I like how Rance has improved but Grimes is much better in defence. Good together, losing Grimes has played a big part of the downfall on field i think. Moore is a unit and was always best defender when playing, desperately need him back.

Mcguane can't stay on his feet one week does ok the next, should be a leader in defence but isn't.
Thursfield i don't know where he stands on dimmas plan, like tuck hasn't played much and is only average when does, always has been.

Gourdis & Post both don't have what it takes. All i ask is if your a backer of these two to watch replays of this years games if you have them. I don't think hardwick will get rid of them and at least another years chance. If they can turn it around good on them but i don't think they will.

Farmer i don't know what his position is anymore but he is crap.

I think Moore and Grimes have been huge losses down back but also I think the loss of Morton and Connors and the exclusion of Tuck for god knows what reason has been huge on our season

Morton and Connors are the skilful flankers-wingers that we have missed all year.

Anyone else think it's time for titch to go back down forward where he started his career? He used to be handy for 2-3 goals a game. Could be a
Crumbing goal sneak we require.

all except rance grimes astbury the rest r s..t

IMO these are the players who i'd like to see delisted:

Gourdis
Post
Taylor
White
Derrickx
Webberly
Nason

Rookies to delist:

Hislop
Miller
Hicks

Personally would love to keep Tuck, he's still 29 and bloody good player. I would also keep Farmer only because we dont really have a players who can play on small forwards. McGuane and Thursfield for mine are also safe however, trading one of the 2 would be an option if they have any value.

I'll Start with the whole team.

Key Defenders
Safe: Rance, Grimes, Astbury, Moore
Probably Safe: Mcguane, Post
Probably Gone: Thursfield
Definitely Gone: Gourdis

Small Defenders:
Safe: Batchelor, Deledio, Newman, Conca, Houli
Probably Safe: Connors, Dea, Farmer (should be probably gone)

Midfielders:
Safe: Cotchin, Martin, Grigg, Foley, Nahas
Probably Safe: Jackson (Trade Bait IMO if we can get anything), Edwards
Probably Gone: Tuck, Morton, Webberley

Small Forwards:
Safe: King, Helbig, MacDonald
Probably Safe: White
Probably Gone: Nason, Hislop
Definitely Gone: Taylor

Tall Forwards:
Safe: Riewoldt, Vickery, Griffiths
Probably Safe but should be gone: Miller

Ruck:
Probably Safe: Browne, Derickx
Probably Gone: Graham

Probably 7-8 players off the senior list at a minimum. Did i forget anyone?

Ive changed a couple of guys on that list but i would say Hislop, Webberly, Nason, Gourdis, Taylor, Westhoff, Hicks, Dea, would almost be certain to be delisted out of tigerland

Question marks over O Reilly, Contin, Tuck, Morton, Miller and Post as to whether they stay on but IMO with our list being so young , The sensible thing would be to delist guys from our main list like Taylor, Webberly, Nason, Gourdis and Dea making it 5.

Re Rookie Miller if possible or Promote him to the list, lets face it, Injury to Jack or TV and we don't have much to replace with. I think its important to keep Morton, Connors and Tuck as we need experianced guys to help develope our younger guys, Add another 3 kids at least in the draft and maybe 2 mature age recruits?

If we could land a decent ruck whether that be Mitch clark, Dawson Simpson, Shaun Hampson, Trent West, McIntosh, Bellchambers and a maybe a Matthew Bate half forward and a mid ranged sized half back would be handy

Why would we de-list a second year player in Dea?

Most of the players mentioned here would probally only b gone if traded and three quarters of the list will b tradeable if not more .how many players were straight out delisted last year ? i expect mabe 4 off the senior list imo the worst 4 players on the senior list based on ability and upside is browne ,nason, gus, taylor .

GONE

Campbell....nobody actually knows what he does
Daley..........pay peanuts get monkeys
Lade...........worst assistant coach in the AFL our rucking speaks for itself

Why would we de-list a second year player in Dea?

Why wouldn't we, I am sure there has been plenty, Nason and Webberly may be delisted and both are 2nd year players.

Theres no point keeping players on a list if they won't make it and Nason and Web won't because they are too small. I know Dea has been injured but I can't see him deplacing Houli, Lids or Newman as a HBF, and I can't see him playing up forward

I can, Newman will not be playing in 8 years, Lids could play somewhere else and Houli might get injured, pick another club or lose form while Dea becomes a gun.

Too early for Dea and Oreily etc,, when you have players like Gourdis, Browne, Nason, Hislop and even Farmer who one knows are not going to make it unless some magical change in circumstances come about. I haven't commentated on the players in the reserves as I haven't seen them so do not know how they are going

Again, why would you want to delist Webberly and Dea, both have been on the list only two years and are young and developing. Dea has been injured for most of the time. Look at Hawthorn, they played Liam Shields, Suckling and Savage in the two's for extended periods after first giving them a taste of AFL. I think Hardwick is doing a similar thing; you first getting an understanding of the pace and what is required, you then go back to the two's and work on your deficiencies and earn your spot in the team. Put it this way, Helbig and Conca will find it a lot harder to get game next year when a new crop of youngers enter the system.

He's been injured pretty much since being recruited, only an idiot would de-list someone before even seeing what they have to offer, I'm sure he will get a game in the next few weeks as he was set to start the year in our 22.
