Triple Dead Heat: - Hayden Bunton, Michael Voss and Kevin Murray.

Honourable mentions: - Simon Black, Paul Roos, Gary Wilson, Bernie Quinlan, Jason Akermanis, Harvey Merrigan, Luke Power, Nigel Lappin, Leon Harris and Michael Conlan.

The If Only He'd Stayed Award: Dead Heat - Frank Marchesani & Nathan Buckley

Great call, Captain Major. Getting the no 25 at Carlton worked wonders for the league's Recruit of the year; thought I was the only one old enough to remember him.

Buckley's an interesting one. Could he and Vossy have coexisted in the team for long, given their respective egos? My guess is Vossy would have left, assuming Buckley had been captain, so we would have been worse off, IMO, by the time of the merger.

Incidentally (I know this is a bit off-topic, but I can't introduce new threads yet) why has not one journo had the knackers to ask Sir Nathan how he really feels about moving to Collingwood "to play in finals" knowing he probably would have captained 3 or 4 premiership teams if he' d stayed put? Why is that?
