Who is the worst coach in the AFL?

Depends what agenda they are pushing.

If it's the "GT can't coach" then the "best list" suits their argument.

If it's rating our players, they are crap, or at the least our top 10 are very good at the rest are crap.

Interesting though, go through the vast majority of AA teams posted this year and you'll see that Carlton generally have more representatives than St Kilda. How on earth can our top 10 be that good if they struggle to make AA selection?

There are teams with better midfields, better ruckman, better defences, more effecient forward lines than ours. In fact there's not a part of the ground you'd say we are clearly number 1 in. How on earth could we possibly have the best list if talent wish we aren't rated in any category number 1 in the league?

The fact is we have a good spread of talent and for the most part the "top" part of list has been flattened over the past 3 years because of injury. So the reality is we have made the finals 3 years in a row with a very even list - a credit to GT I would of thought.

Sounds like the propaganda that typically spews out of the St Kilda camp whenever they try and justify the appointment of the "mini bus" GT.

Does Melbourne have a better midfield, defence and forward line? I wouldn't have thought so looking at their past couple of months. No, they just decide to turn up the heat and that equated into a 7 goal turnaround in the wet. This is your problem.

Does Melbourne have a better midfield,
Once Harvey did his hammy half way through the game - yes they did.

Debatable - but Melbourne's needed to do a lot less once we lost Fraser.

Losing both Clarkes limited our options defensively too.

and forward line?
Once Fraser went down and Harv's was forced to prop up their on one leg - yes Melbourne did have a much better forward line.

Anyhow, Melbourne won't win the flag this year so what relevance is the standard of their list when debating whether GT should have won a flag? ND hasn't won one in 9 years and he's as far as ever from doing so (despite a heap of early picks). Are you telling me ND's record means he's a better coach than GT?

Grant Thomas, would make a pretty good Footy manager because of his ability to keep the players together, but as a coach he has very little to no idea

Once Harvey did his hammy half way through the game - another excuse - where was dalsanto, montagna, ball, goddard? harvey wont be playing next year - you shouldn't be relying so heavily on a 35yo.

Debatable - but Melbourne's needed to do a lot less once we lost Fraser. another excuse, fraser had a brain snap which led to that injury, anyway he was back sprinting after the break, plus the ball wasn't getting to him.

Losing both Clarkes limited our options defensively too. Agree but melb lost whelan.

Once Fraser went down and Harv's was forced to prop up their on one leg - again with the excuses.

My point was a team with similar to lesser quality beat you with ticker, not talent - have a look at the conditions.

ND hasn't won one in 9 years and he's as far as ever from doing so (despite a heap of early picks). Are you telling me ND's record means he's a better coach than GT? start a new thread.

Too many excuses and diversions here - the coach is responsible for team lists and selection. You have too many grandads and no ruckmen - no surprises, you were beaten by a harder working side and in the ruck.
