I wouldn't be averse to that ... indications are he's got his head down and worked hard this season to get another crack. But what position would he be? We definitely need to look at key defenders, which is why I nominated the Suns' Josh (?) Hall. Anyway, a lot of this season still to unfold ...

In the trade week before that draft. Pick 6 and 14 for pick 3 was the offer in order to take Martin (with Melbourne committed to taking Trengove and Scully with the first two picks). Roosy and co. wanted Martin badly.

Not a thing of substance. I don't want him really. Could be an utter superstar eventually but we have to focus on and take care of our own stars for the next few years IMO. Continuing to draft astutely and find good fringe players to replenish our list would be what I'd be doing for the next few years.

Pick 6 and 14 ended up being Rohan and Jetta.

Jetta was a huge reason we won the flag and I still think Rohan could have a better career than Martin.

I'm happy we never made that trade.

Seeing as Martin is out of contract, white and 22 would get the deal done if he nominated sydney. It's probably the only readable scenario I would be happy to see white go. Martin would be a huge in.

Whoever takes a punt on garlett this year will reap the rewards.

Dusty would be excellent if the deal could be done, but Richmond won't let him go easily. GWS have more to offer methinks.

Perhaps White plus + our first pick, it just depends, but I think the Tigers would want more than that. Can't see any of our youngsters wanting to go to Richmond.
