Who walked out?

Laids just said on SEN "nup, having spoken to Josh a few times recently, I'm not surprised."

CQ on the money.... Gibbo = DOG!

IF we don't come out of this with a top pick then I hope we do re select him in the PSD and never pick him!

If we do well and manage to prise pick 9 from the Hawks then fine.

Either way though, he can get stuffed!

i'm listen to sen as well whats he mean im not surprised

I'm shattered.

I spoke to him at a bushfire fundraising day, he was very rude.

I still defended him, and he's been one of my favourite players.

Dog.
Why? He played 3 good games and 19 crap ones. And if it's a money issue, he's not worth $800k over 3 years by a long shot. I won't be losing any sleep over it. And uncontracted or not, they still have to satisfy North or it's hello Melbourne or Freo. :thumbsu:

dawks think they can give us later picks because of this, just see there board, got news for them,i would favour he will be playing for melb, rich, freo or us,not to mention they other teams between our pick psd,and there's.pay what he is worth or f**k off tossers
Yep spot on

They need him more than we need him.

If its not a pick better than 20, he can try his luck in the PSD

Scott might have told Gibson his plans for him next year, and he didn't like them.
That possibiliy together with the $800K supposedly offered by the Hawks might have pushed him over the line.

Incredibly disappointed that he would want to leave us, North Melbourne, though.
Good luck to him nonetheless.

Sorry mate, absolutely no chance.

And you think we are going to be happy with giving up one of our top 5 players this year for pick 25. Get stuffed!

Why would we trade a player clearly in our best 22 for a second rounder in a weak draft that may never make it?

You want him, cough up!

Why? Because I liked the way he went about things.

in all seriousness this is not bad news at all

I agree. The worry for me with trading him was the affect on the group given his popularity and (seemingly) his love for the club. This just takes away that impact.

I said before all this Hawks interest came up that I would take anything less than 30 for Gibbo, still would, but he would be the Hawkies best defender in round 1 and they obviously rate him if they are offering that money, so we should definitely go after pick 9. We would be a good chance to get it too if we play this properly.

Who negoiates our trades? Never Laids' strength and we should send Donald on a holiday while all this is going on. Send in Euge.

As people are saying we could use this well.
Just say if they don't give us pick 9 we won't trade him.
If they don't get us pick 9 just put him in the PSD and if Melb, Rich or Freo do not want him, we'll get him back, unless for some reason there is a bargain on offer.

Besides, Lachie, Grima, Hunter, Firrito and Pratt in the backline, plus JWS and Urqs running off the half back line, we have no room for him anyway if he doesn't want us.

No mate, if you go back and have a look at the previous post, I said - you guys will be filthy....

Just don't reckon the Hawks will offer up pick 9.....

Lice Brewis is obviously a good idea, he delivers.

I'm not shitting either, when I say that if I heard Eugene was being sent in, that I'd probably experience movement.

Get Donald the **** away from the process. He can stay at mine that week, I'll take one for the team.

It could be a good thing though. It could toughen the playing group up a bit mentally.

Agree on Euge :D

We can only presume that in those discussions Gib$on said he was disenchanted, didn't see a future in our developing backline nor in our future midfield, has considered perhaps moving on where he can further his career and slot into a defensive role where his strengths can be best utilised, and perhaps have a shot at a flag!

ok guys..

Gib$on walks out on 09/9/09, We get pick 9, all makes sense doesn't it?
