I’ll have to take your word for it. I’ve never seen the legend say one positive thing about any of our players. I find your opinions gain a bit more weight if you try and be rational with your analysis and give credit where it’s due even through gritted teeth

I may not agree with the poster all the time but at a minimum they explain their views pretty thoroughly. Then it's possible to have a discussion with them about the reasons they have the belief they do.

Maybe it was my rave review of Will Day or me calling Dylan Moore a top 2 or 3 general forward in the comp. Or maybe I was too harsh when I called Ginnivan, McDonald and Watson "very good players". Or when I said Sam Mitchell was probably my favourite coach in the league.

I'll try be a bit less complimentary of the Hawks in the future!

You’ve compared a side that was less than a kick off a Prelim going one better in 2025, to a side that’s won less than 10 games in 3 seasons thinking they can play finals.

It was an utterly stupid comparison, driven by how triggered you are that Hawks posters are happy with how they’re tracking.

In 2022 Geelong broke it again.

Within reason sure. Hawks fans this off season are more along the lines of North supporters who thought they were absolute locks to make finals in 2024.

Hawks have built a good list and have a very good coach, but the chat from their fans make it sound like anything less than a flag would be a dramatic underperformance in 2025.

It would be. Im not apologising for being excited and optimistic.

With how even the comp has been for the last few years I can only legitimately see about 5 clubs who aren't a genuine top 4 chance.

North, Eagles, Richmond, Essendon and GC.

Think the Saints and Crows can rise. Demons whilst disappointing have proven talent.

Spots are going to be tight. Teams are going to need to ride some injury luck.
