If he has the same opponent on him the entire game then Yes the modern game is built on team defence all over the ground. If one player is continually on the same player then they are tagging them. Amartey for instance played on Barrass, Sic and Battle. Same thing happened last year when you played us McKay had Sic take him sometimes and it swap around depending on where he was running on the ground. Laughing about it doesn't make it any less true we had 3 players tagged at different stages during the game. In any case I don't know why I am engaging you because you clearly don't rate us because we haven't got any stars a very Carlton way of thinking about football.Like saying Curnow gets tagged every game... Having the same player is different from having an opponent
You obviously didn't watch the game then.
Wicks was a hard tag on Watson for the whole match.
Jordan followed Day everywhere in the 2nd half.
The Sicily one was a bit harder to see, I believe it was Hayward. But it explains why Mitchell pulled the trigger to move him forward to release the tag.

Meek is gonna tag Draper next week! This is just incorrect mate.
So, being the elite-reserves grade wingman I was, I can claim I was tagged my whole career because I had the same opponent on me all day? And he was being tagged as well?
He’s “almost” the best key forward in the comp.Yeah... How will teams ever stop Mabior Chol in full flight!??!

Certain positions are specialised position for ffs I don't even know why I am responding here Ruck is one of them. But if you think players play a set position on the field against a set player especially in defence / attack or middle of the ground then you haven't been watching football. The mix and match even from center bounce to center bounce is different unless they are tagging or as you would put it minding said player or going head to head with said player. Going head to head with the player means that they aren't really following them around they go ball hunting themselves. Go watch the game Heeney had Nash pick him up almost the entire game. He isn't going head to head with him but is defensive and didn't give him much spaceMeek is gonna tag Draper next week!
I think you could explain it 3 or 4 times and he still wouldn’t get it.What does that mean. If you watch closely it means there are no hand offs the player literally runs everywhere his opponent does. There is a lot more energy expended doing this. This is why coaches don't like doing this because it upsets their structure. Sydney had 3 players do exactly this.

Ok it was in game they talked about it at 3qtr time. The tag on Sic was only a qtr because he then moved forward and won the game. The tag on Will Day was there he spent large parts of the 3rd on the bench with really bad cramp. He did come back in the last. The tag on Watson was there all game and Wicks did a fantastic job and got coaches votesYes, tagging supposedly upsets team defense - which is why we've seen a huge drop off in it in recent years (all bullshit imo, just tag the oppo's most damaging player ffs).
But, you're telling me - Dean Cox not only went against the trend in his first ever game as senior coach, but went with 3 taggers?!? That's nuts.
Absurd coaching, why wasn't it highlighted on any of the footy shows?
Read again Its clear you didn’tAnd what point was that?

James Jordan went to Day after HTCome on. There's accountable footy then there's a hard tag. I highly doubt Sydney deployed a hard tag on 3x separate players, especially on a small ground with bugger all space.
No that was Tim o brien (unless playing the demons)He’s “almost” the best key forward in the comp.
If only he could hold onto those marks, kick those goals, try a bit harder…
Mr Almost.
Tim who?No that was Tim o brien (unless playing the demons)
At most the tigers will get the opening 2 or 3 goals, closely trail at half time then fall away. More likely they are 4 goals down by quarter time en route to a 15 goal spankingI think they will come out with nothing to lose which is when a team is most dangerous. Not to mention Carlton/Richmond games in general are very rarely blowouts.
Based on todays SEN interview the bont may be up for a move for the right $Who is available and why would they want to come to Collingwood?
After a flurry of retirees, a declining ladder position - what’s the appeal?

Obriens best yearly goals as 19. Chol is comfortably better in almost all aspectsTim who?
Chol is one of those athletically gifted guys who promises the world & fails ….albeit spectacularly.
He is Mr Almost.
I’ll make this really simple for you because it seems you Carlton fans are still struggling with it…hmm Watkins or ( pick a player ) is a dangerous small ( or pick a position) - you Fred you are on him today - make it easy for him will ya it is blokes like that that people come to watch fooball for oh whilst you are at it give the bloke some space when he is looking to attack and whatever you do FFS don't tackle him!
Said no coach EVER.
LOL hard tag hard tag hard tag...

When a player is sent to an opponent and told not leave his side, meaning that he doesn’t hand off, he doesn’t swap to another player when the transition of the ball is happening through the middle of the ground, and he doesn’t let that 1 player out of his sight, it’s a tag.
