There seems to be a feeling that Vezpremi will get dropped despite a brilliant game, and I would say Ablett, assuming that Hall and or Bolton and or Buchannan dont go that is.

Wouldn't be surprised if a few youngsters were brought in rather than Playfair or MOL.

I'd assume the ins might be ROK and Brabazon?

I dunno, I just keep thinking back to Roos' comment that these finals were a great chance to give the kids some experience if nothing else.

MOL apparently will be lucky to get up his ankle is still giving him grief......apparently McVeigh hurt his ankle last night as well. Goodes and ROK will obviousl come in and Jude will be out along with perhaps Bird would love to see them give the young guys a bit of finals experience though.

Vez has earned his place, tho Roos did say some players in form will be going out to make way for Goodes and RoK. Maybe he was referring to suspensions, otherwise, outside of injuries, it has to be between Ablett, Bird and Vezpremi (tho I dont really know why, perhaps Roos may think finals pressure will overwhelm him, the Brisbane game in terms of competiveness really was lame).

MOL is almost no chance, going on the commentators last night.
Assuming Jude is suspended (which seems very likely), and even Amon might be in some strife, Vezspremi will surely hold his place.

IN: goodes, rok
OUT: j bolton (suspended), buchanen (suspended)

imho, no one is going to lose their positiopn due to form
Looks about right, although those decisions could go either way with the MRP. Shame too because Jude's been a gun for us this year and Monty was one of the bests last night.

No way would I drop Ves.His exuberance on the field is infectious and I think he brings others into the game.He is a great kick for goal and has proved his worth in the side.

I dont want O'Keefe or Goodes to play next week as both have been shocking in the past few weeks. I know Goodes is carrying a injury and i suspect O'Keefe is aswell. I dont care who they are but if a player is carrying a injury which is affecting their on field performance then they should not be selected to play.

Assuming no suspensions, I would drop Ablett and Grundy. Goodes to slot into Ablett's place in the midfield and ROK into Grundy's up forward. Harsh on Reggie but unfortunately that's the way it goes.

A forward line of Hall, ROK, Moore, Vesz and guys like Buchanan and Goodes getting stints up forward.

I just saw the 2 incidents in question from last night Monty hit with a forearm but it looked innocent. Jude again was an upper arm not a shoulder or elbow as it initially looked. The only issue is the inconsistencies of the MRP.

And he fires right up. Does not take a backward step.
He does not seem the type to be at all bothered by finals pressure, he looks like he wants to be there for every game.

hall should and will get a week. Roo's cant control him so AFL will be forced to step in and suspend him.

There is no way Vesz will be dropped. If there are to be no suspensions (fingers crossed) I have an awful feeling Bird may be the unlucky one.

Monty has carry-over points so he may have more of an issue than Jude. I would hope Jude's clean record will get him off if cited with a reprimand at worst.

I was hoping the same thing; can't remember when Jude last had to face a charge, if ever.
Buchanan, on the other hand, has very recent form.

Jude would be a big loss.

I don't like this quote, at all.

Roos also indicated that with Adam Goodes and Ryan O'Keefe to return this week, some in-form players involved in the Brisbane win could miss out on the first final, including Veszpremi who drilled four goals. "The thing we have to decide during the week is what is our best 22," Roos said.

"You have to pick a team you think can play well based on history and not based on just one game."
