Wasn't having at go at Freo mate - just making a very valid point. I remember the same comments from Freo guys at the time. Was all about who they had missing, nothing about ours. It also ignored the fact that Pav was completely out of form at the start of the season anyway.

Apparently Sewell (despite being BOG in a GF and RU B&F the previous season) and Lake (AA FB) aren't good players. Guerra either. Losing your main KPD early in a game is never a loss either. We were lucky to win.

Making a comparison between champion players that are still relevant, and washed up decent players, isn't really valid.

We played you 20 weeks back though didn't we, not 6? Haven't watched Lake this year? He's as washed up as Sandilands. Schoenmakers was in great form. Had already destroyed Hawkins and Darling in the first few rounds. Either way, good or bad, he was out No.1 KPD in that day and was off early - why couldn't Freo exploit that?

As I said, we were obviously lucky. Just like on Friday night - we once again stumbled over the line with some good ordinary players out.

Bradley is an important point because it's part of our list we lack depth in. Pavlich has only been out because of injury, he's improved our forwardline massively since game 1 of his return, kicking 100+ points in games we struggled to do so before he came in. Sewell isn't as significant.

Sandi comes in and we DESTROYED Geelong in the ruck, it wasn't close and a deciding factor in the game.

How switched on are the Hawks? Partially, marginally, not at all.........

They Don't impress me as much as Freo.. I think Freo will romp it home and to be honest im not 100% certain the hawks will make it past the preliminary final. I only said that because they seem slightly better then Port or Geelong depending on which one you play..

Fair enough I haven't been following the context of the conversation, just that Freo DID have important outs that game and a rematch against Hawthorn may not go as one sided as our first encounter.

Don't get all up tight just because "someone like myself" said that there is no way you'll beat Geelong. You should thrive at being put under the radar and written off by a few people, it will just make it that much sweeter if the Hawks win. I'm a Sydney fan, I've been there & done that.
